Dry-boil protection

If you inadvertently use the kettle with no water in it, the dry-boil protection system will
automatically switch it off If this happens, leave the kettle to cool down before filling it with cold
water and boiling it

Cleaning and Maintenance

Before cleaning the kettle, always unplug it from the electrical
outlet and wait until it has cooled completely
1 Never immerse the kettle, its power cord or its power supply
base in water and make sure that they never come into contact
with water
2 Wipe the outside of the body with a wipe or a damp cloth but
never use a toxic cleaning product
3 Do not forget to clean the filter regularly To clean it more
easily, detach the filter by pushing it downwards in the kettle
and replacing it after cleaning it
GB
WARNING: Do not use chemical products, steel or wooden
utensils, nor abrasive cleaning products to clean the outside of
the kettle to prevent loss of shine
4 The power cord can be coiled under the kettle when not using
the toaster for long periods or when storing the appliance

Descaling

Your kettle must be descaled periodically because the limescale content in tap water can cause the
formation of limestone at the bottom of the kettle and a loss of efficiency in its use You can use a
commercially available descaler and follow the instructions contained on its packaging You can also
follow the instructions below using white vinegar
1 Fill the kettle with 3 cups of vinegar, and then add enough water to completely cover the bottom
of the kettle Leave the solution to rest in the kettle overnight
2 Then throw this mixture out and fill the kettle with clean water up to the maximum level
Let the water boil and discard the water Repeat several times until the odour of vinegar has
disappeared The remaining marks in the spout can be removed by wiping with a damp cloth
