Installation instructions

DESCRIPTION
NILO tubular operators are designed to operate domestic shutters, roll-up curtains and
awnings. The operation command is given by way of two buttons (up - down).
NILO operators comply with Directives 2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EC, EN 60335-1 and EN
60335-2-97.
Install and use the device in line with these instructions. Inappropriate use may
lead to failures and hazardous situations.
Read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
Discard the packaging safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.
The installation must be carried out by a professional installer. Incorrect
installation may result in serious damage.

* The adapter comprises two pieces: the crown (9) and the drag wheel (11). The OCTO40
adapter is suitable for 40mm shutter tubes. The OCTO60 adapter is suitable for 60mm
shutter tubes.
**Thermal protection: in the event of prolonged operation, the operator stops working
for safety reasons. It operates again once it has cooled down.

INSTALLATION
Assembly
Ensure that the characteristics of the operator (assigned torque, operation
time, number of turns) are in keeping with the weight and height of the
shutter.
1 Check that the shutter works correctly manually.
2 Fig 2: Remove the manual drive belt (7) and take down the tube (8) from the shutter.
It may be necessary to also remove the pulley.
3 Fig 3: Introduce the operator (1) through one end of the tube (8). Ensure that the
crown (9) is correctly inserted in the ring (10).
4 Check that the crown (9) is secured to the tube (8), as it should turn with it in order to
move the ring (10) which operates the ends of open/close.
If necessary (for example, if the tube is circular instead of octagonal), secure the
crown to the tube using a screw, without allowing the screw to reach the ring (10).
O Never bang the operator under any circumstance.
5 If appropriate (for example, if the tube is circular instead octagonal), secure the drag
wheel (11) to the tube (8) using screws or rivets (T).
O Never puncture the operator.
6 Fig. 4: Install the operator supports (2), (2*) or (2**).
7 Mount the tube with the operator on the supports (2, 2*, 2**) and (12). Position the
pins / cramps (3), (3*) or (3**).
8 NICM4550 - NICM4550M only: install the coupling for the crank for manual operation
(fig. 7).
Electrical connections (fig 5)
Ensure that the electrical installation can support the power of the operator
and is in line with low voltage regulations and applicable rules. Always
connect the earth cable.
Make the connections with the power supply cut off.
1 Complete the connections as shown in figure 5. One pully is needed for ascent (P1) and
another for descent (P2).
O
P1 and P2 must be able to support the voltage and current of the operator.
Install P1 and P2 in view of the motorised part and far from the moving
parts, at a minimum height of 1.5m.
2 Connect the power supply and check the turning direction. If it is not correct,
interchange the cables (a) and (b).
Open/close adjustment (fig 6)
Screw A adjusts the open/close (number of turns) of movement A, whilst screw B adjusts
the open/close of movement B.
O Only turn the screws using a suitable tool.
The open/close distance reduces when the screws are turned towards "+". The open/
close distance increases when the screws are turned towards "–".

USE AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Important safety instructions. These instructions must be followed
in order to guarantee the safety of people. Keep these instructions in a safe
place.
• Do not allow children to play with the controls.
• Frequently check the facility for loss of balance and signs of deterioration. Do not use
if any repair or adjustment is necessary.
• Do not use the shutter when maintenance tasks such as window cleaning are being
carried out.

Failure diagnosis
• The operator stops working following prolonged use: the thermal protection device has
cut off the operator in order to prevent excess heating; the operator will work again
once it has cooled down.
• The open/close travel is incorrect: check that the crown (9) rotates along with the tube
(8) and with the ends of open/close ring (10).

Os accionadores tubulares NILO estão desenhados para accionar persianas domésticas,
cortinas enroláveis e toldos. A ordem de funcionamento realiza-se através de dois botões
(subir - abaixar).
Os accionadores NILO estão em conformidade com as directivas 2006/95/CE, 2004/108/
CE, EN 60335-1 e EN 60335-2-97.
Instale e utilize o aparelho respeitando estas instruções. O uso inadequado
pode causar avarias e situações perigosas.
Leia atentamente estas instruções e guarde-as.
Elimine a embalagem de forma segura e ecológica.
A instalação deve ser realizada por um profissional. Uma instalação incorrecta
pode causar graves danos.

* O adaptador está formado por duas peças: a coroa (9) e a roda de arrasto (11). O

**Protecção térmica: em caso de funcionamento prolongado, o accionador deixa de
funcionar por segurança. Transcorrido um tempo de arrefecimento, ele volta a
funcionar.

INSTALAÇÃO
Montagem
Certifique-se de que as características do accionador (binário determinado,
tempo de funcionamento, número de giros) são adequados ao peso e altura da
persiana.
1 Verifique se a persiana funciona correctamente de forma manual.
2 Fig 2: Retire a correia (7) de accionamento manual e desmonte o tubo (8) da persiana.
Talvez tenha que retirar também a polia.
3 Fig 3: Introduza o accionador (1) por uma extremidade do tubo (8). Assegure-se de
que a coroa (9) fique bem encaixada no aro (10).
4 Certifique-se de que a coroa (9) fique bem presa no tubo (8), já que deve rodar com ele
para mover o aro (10), que acciona os finais de curso.
Caso seja necessário, por exemplo, se o tubo for circular em vez de octogonal,
prenda a coroa no tubo com um parafuso, sem que este alcance o aro (10).
O Não golpeie o accionador por nenhum motivo.
5 Se considerar conveniente (por exemplo, se o tubo for circular em vez de octogonal),
prenda a roda de arrasto (11) ao tubo (8) com parafusos ou rebites (T).
O Não perfure o accionador.
6 Fig. 4: Instale os suportes do accionador (2), (2*) ou (2**).
7 Monte o tubo com o accionador nos suportes (2, 2*, 2**) e (12). Coloque as cavilhas
/ grampos (3), (3*) ou (3).
8 Somente NICM4550 - NICM4550M: instale o acoplamento para manivela, para
accionamento manual (fig. 7).
Ligações eléctricas (fig 5)
Assegure-se de que a instalação eléctrica suporta a potência do accionador e
de que cumpre com o regulamento de baixa tensão e as normas aplicáveis. Faça
sempre a ligação terra.
Faça as ligações com a alimentação eléctrica desligada.
1 Faça as ligações como mostra-se na figura 5. Necessita um botão para subir (P1) e outro
para abaixar (P2).
O
P1 e P2 devem ser adequados para suportar a tensão e a corrente do accionador.
Instale P1 e P2 à vista da parte motorizada e longe das partes móveis, a um
altura mínima de 1,5 m.
2 Ligue a alimentação e verifique o sentido de rotação. Se não está correcto, troque os
cabos de posição entre si (a) e (b).
Ajuste do trajecto (fig 6)
O parafuso A ajusta o percurso (número de giros) do movimento A, e o parafuso B ajusta
o percurso do movimento B.
O Rode os parafusos somente com a ferramenta fornecida.
Rodando os parafusos no sentido "+", o percurso diminui. Rodando os parafusos no
sentido "-", o percurso aumenta.

USO E MANUTENÇÃO
AVISO: Instruções de segurança importantes. É importante seguir todas as
instruções para a segurança das pessoas. Guarde estas instruções.
• Não permita que as crianças joguem com os comandos.
• Examine com frequência a instalação para descobrir desequilíbrios ou sinais de
deterioração. Não utilize o accionador se ele necessita de reparação ou ajuste.
• Não faça a persiana funcionar quando estejam a realizar tarefas de manutenção nas
proximidades, como limpeza de janelas.

Fig 7: coloque a manivela (13) (não fornecida) no acoplamento (6) e rode no sentido
desejado.
Diagnóstico de avarias
• O accionador deixa de funcionar após um uso prolongado: o dispositivo térmico de
protecção desligou o accionador para evitar sobreaquecimentos; transcorrido um
tempo de arrefecimento o accionador voltará a funcionar.
• O trajecto desajusta-se: verifique se a coroa (9) roda conjuntamente com o tubo (8) e
com o aro dos finais de curso (10).

BESCHREIBUNG
Die Rohrantriebe NILO sind für den Antrieb von Rollläden, Rollvorhängen und Markisen
entwickelt worden. Der Fahrbefehl erfolgt über zwei Taster (Auf – Ab).
Die Antriebe NILO erfüllen die Richtlinien 2006/95/EG, 2004/108/EG, EN 60335-1 und EN
60335-2-97.
Installieren und verwenden Sie das Gerät unter Beachtung dieser Anleitung.
Die unsachgemäße Verwendung kann zu Schäden und gefährlichen
Situationen führen.
Lesen Sie diese Anleitung aufmerksam durch und bewahren Sie sie auf.
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung bitte umweltgerecht.
Die Installation muss von einem Fachmann durchgeführt werden. Eine
unsachgemäße Installation kann schwere Schäden zur Folge haben.

* Der Adapter besteht aus zwei Teilen: dem Kranz (9) und dem Mitnehmer (11). Der
Adapter OCTO40 ist für Rollladenrohre mit einem Durchmesser von 40mm geeignet.
Der Adapter OCTO60 ist für Rollladenrohre mit einem Durchmesser von 60mm
geeignet.
**Wärmeschutz: Bei längerem Gebrauch unterbricht der Antrieb aus Sicherheitsgründen
den Betrieb. Nach einer Abkühlzeit nimmt er den Betrieb wieder auf.

INSTALLATION
Montage
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Eigenschaften des Antriebs (zugeordnetes
Drehmoment, Betriebszeit, Anzahl der Drehungen) für das Gewicht und die
Höhe des Rollladens geeeignet sind.
1 Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Rollladen manuell ordnungsgemäß funktioniert.
2 Abb. 2: Nehmen Sie den Gurt für die manuelle Betätigung (7) ab und bauen Sie das
Rollladenrohr (8) aus. Eventuell muss auch die Gurtscheibe entfernt werden.
3 Abb. 3: Stecken Sie den Antrieb (1) in ein Ende des Rohrs (8). Stellen Sie sicher, dass
der Kranz (9) gut im Ring eingerastet ist (10).
4 Überprüfen Sie, ob der Kranz (9) gut am Rohr (8) befestigt ist, da er sich mit diesem
zusammen drehen muss, um den Ring (10) zu bewegen, der die Endschalter betätigt.
Falls nötig - z.B. wenn das Rohr rund statt achteckig ist – den Kranz mit einer
Schraube am Rohr befestigen, ohne dass die Schraube den Ring (10) erreicht.
O Keinesfalls auf den Antrieb schlagen.
5 Sollten Sie es für notwendig halten (z.B. wenn das Rohr rund statt achteckig ist), den
Mitnehmer (11) anhand von Schrauben oder Nieten (T) am Rohr (8) befestigen.
O Keine Löcher in den Antrieb bohren.
6 Abb. 4: Die Antriebshalterungen (2), (2*) bzw. (2**) anbringen.
7 Das Rohr mit dem Antrieb an den Halterungen (2, 2*, 2**) und (12) befestigen. Die
Stifte (3), (3*) bzw. (3**) anbringen.
8 Nur NICM4550 - NICM4550M: Die Kupplung für die Kurbel für die manuelle Betätigung
installieren (Abb. 7).
Elektrische Anschlüsse (Abb. 5)
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die elektrische Installation für die Leistung des Antriebs
geeignet ist und die Niederspannungsrichtlinie sowie die weiteren
anwendbaren Vorschriften erfüllt. Schließen Sie immer das Erdungskabel an.
Führen Sie die Anschlüsse bei abgeschalteter Stromversorgung durch.
1 Führen Sie die Anschlüsse wie in Abbildung 5 gezeigt durch. Es ist ein Taster für das
Hochfahren (P1) und ein weiterer Taster für das Herunterfahren (P2) erforderlich.
O
P1 und P2 müssen für die Stromspannung und –stärke des Antriebs geeignet sein.
Installieren Sie P1 und P2 in Richtung des motorisierten Teils und außer
Reichweite der beweglichen Teile in einer Mindesthöhe von 1,5m.
2 Schließen Sie die Stromversorgung an und prüfen Sie die Drehrichtung. Sollte diese
nicht korrekt sein, tauschen Sie die Kabel (a) und (b) aus.
Einstellen des Verfahrwegs (Abb. 6)
Die Schraube A stellt den Hub (Anzahl der Drehungen) der Bewegung A ein und die
Schraube B den Hub der Bewegung B.
O Drehen Sie die Schrauben nur mit einem angemessenen Werkzeug.
Durch Drehen der Schrauben in Richtung "+" vermindert sich der Hub. Durch Drehen
der Schrauben in Richtung "-" vergrößert sich der Hub.

ANWENDUNG UND WARTUNG
ACHTUNG: Wichtige Sicherheitsvorschriften. Für die Sicherheit der Personen
müssen unbedingt alle Vorschriften befolgt werden. Bewahren Sie diese
Vorschriften auf.
• Erlauben Sie Kindern nicht das Spielen mit den Steuerelementen.
• Prüfen Sie die Installation regelmäßig, um Ungleichgewichte und Schäden
festzustellen. Das Gerät nicht verwenden, wenn es repariert oder justiert werden muss.
• Den Rollladen nicht in Betrieb nehmen, wenn in der Nähe Wartungsarbeiten wie z.B.
das Reinigen von Fenstern durchgeführt werden.
Manuelle Betätigung (nur NICM4550 - NICM4550M)
Abb. 7: Bringen Sie die Kurbel (13) (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) an der Kupplung (6)
an und drehen Sie sie in die gewünschte Richtung.
Fehlersuche
• Nach längerer Anwendung funktioniert der Antrieb nicht mehr: Die thermische
Schutzvorrichtung hat den Antrieb abgeschaltet, um eine Überhitzung zu vermeiden;
nach einer Abkühlzeit funktioniert der Antrieb wieder.
• Der Verfahrweg verstellt sich: Überprüfen Sie, ob sich der Kranz (9) zusammen mit dem
Rohr (8) und mit dem Ring der Endschalter (10) dreht.
