Features
Detector indicates the location of wood, metal elements and live AC wire in walls, ceilings and floor
detected elements: wood, metal elements, live AC wires (AC 90-250 V ~ / 50-60 Hz) detection range:
wood – max. 19 mm, metal – max. 38 mm, live AC wires – max. 50 mm power supply: DC 9 V
battery (included) operating conditions: +5°C ~ +40°C graphic and sound indicator
Shielded cables, low-voltage signal cables (CAN, computer) and telephone wires
will not be detected by the detector AC wires located deeper than the detector's
maximum range will not be detected Live AC wires in metal pipes, metal walls or
metal-covered insulation will not be detectedv The detector is able to detect only AC
live wires. Cables with DC current will not be detected. DC wires are detected in metal
detection mode only Do not use the detector on wet, damp or covered with aluminum
or metal surface.
Calibration
Calibration should be carried out each time the detector is switched on or after each detection mode
change.
1. Select detection mode with the switch: AC WIRE – AC wires, METAL – metal elements, DC wires,
STUD – wood.
2. Place the detector parallel to the wall.
3. Press and hold the switch K. The audible signal will be turned on.
4. The calibration will be terminated when the acoustic signal turns off.
5. Hold the pressed switch and start detection.
When calibrating, do not place the detector directly on the material to be detected or
on wet or freshly painted surfaces In case of detection of live wires during calibra-
tion, the indicator will appear on the display To increase detector sensibility in
live AC wires and metal detection mode, there should be no other metal objects or live
conductors within the sensor range The detection the switch K should bes pressed
all the time during calibration and detection procedure.
Detection
1. Before scanning, remove metal jewelry from your hands and hands (watches, rings, bracelets).
2. During the measurement, the detector should be held with one hand and the other hand should be
kept more than 15 cm from the detector.
3. It is recommended to carry out the measurement several times in order to obtain the most precise
result.
4. If the signal is weak or unstable, select a different measurement location.
5. If the diode blinks at every detection point, it may mean that there is an electrostatic phenome-
non on the detected surface, which makes it unsuitable for measurements. To discharge the static
charge, place your hand flat against the wall near the detector and repeat the detection procedure.
