kann sowohl frei aufgestellt werden als auch
mit Hilfe der optional erhältlichen Montage-
winkel MPX-5RM [Position (1) in Abb. 1 bzw.
Abb. 2] aus dem Programm „img Stage Line"
in ein Bedienpult eingebaut werden.

Gerät anschließen
Vor dem Anschließen von Geräten an das
Mischpult bzw. vor dem Ändern bestehen-
der Anschlüsse das Mischpult und alle an-
deren Audio-Geräte ausschalten.
1) Die Stereo-Tonquellen an die entspre-
chenden Eingangsbuchsen (Buchse L =
linker Kanal; Buchse R = rechter Kanal)
anschließen:
- Buchsen LINE 1 und LINE 2 (16) für
den Anschluß von Geräten mit Line-
Pegel (z. B. CD-Spieler, Tape-Deck,
MiniDisk-Recorder) an Kanal 1 und 2;
- Buchsen PHONO 1 und PHONO 2 (17)
für den Anschluß von Plattenspielern
mit Magnetsystem an Kanal 1 und 2.
Die Klemmschraube GND (18) kann
als gemeinsamer Massepunkt genutzt
werden: Den Masseanschluß des Plat-
tenspielers mit der Klemmschraube
verbinden.
2) Bei Verwendung eines DJ-Mikrofons die-
ses an die Buchse DJ MIC (7) anschlie-
ßen.
3) Den Verstärker an die Ausgangsbuchsen
AMP (14) anschließen.
4) Für eventuelle Tonaufnahmen ein Ton-
aufnahmegerät an die Ausgangsbuchsen
REC (15) anschließen.

Connection of the Unit
Prior to connection of units to the mixer resp.
prior to changing existing connections switch
off the mixer and all other audio units.
1) Connect the stereo audio sources to the
corresponding input jacks (jack L = left
channel; jack R = right channel):
- jacks LINE 1 and LINE 2 (16) for con-
nection of units with line level (e. g. CD
player, tape deck, minidisk recorder) to
channels 1 and 2;
- jacks PHONO 1 and PHONO 2 (17) for
connection of turntables with magnetic
system to channels 1 and 2.
Clamping screw GND (18) may be
used as common ground. Connect the
ground of the turntable to the clamping
screw.
2) If a DJ microphone is used, connect it to
the jack DJ MIC (7).
3) Connect the amplifier to the output jacks
AMP (14).
4) For audio recordings connect a sound re-
corder to the output jacks REC (15).
5) Channels 1 and 2 can be monitored via
stereo headphones (impedance ≥ 8 Ω)
ahead of the faders (9) (see chapter 5.1).
Connect the headphones to the jack
HEADPHONES (11).
5) Die Kanäle 1 und 2 lassen sich über ei-
nen Stereo-Kopfhörer (Impedanz ≥ 8 Ω)
vor den Fadern (9) abhören (siehe Kapi-
tel 5.1). Den Kopfhörer an die Buchse
HEADPHONES (11) anschließen.
6) Den Kleinspannungsstecker des beilie-
genden Steckertrafos mit der Buchse
(13) verbinden, und den Steckertrafo in
eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.

Bedienung
Vor dem Einschalten des Mischpultes soll-
ten die Kanalfader (9) und der Mikrofonreg-
ler (6) auf Minimum gestellt werden, um star-
ke Einschaltgeräusche zu vermeiden.
1) Das Mischpult mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter
(4) einschalten. Zur Anzeige der Betriebs-
bereitschaft leuchtet die rote LED (3)
neben dem Schalter. Anschließend die
angeschlossenen Geräte einschalten.
2) Die Eingangsumschalter (2) für die Ka-
näle 1 und 2 in die entsprechende Posi-
tion stellen: In Stellung PHONO ist der
Phono-Eingang des Kanals angewählt, in
Stellung LINE der Line-Eingang.
3) Zur Pegeleinstellung von Kanal 1 den
Crossfader (8) ganz nach links schieben
und mit dem Fader von Kanal 1 unter
Zuhilfenahme der LED-Pegelanzeige (5)
den Kanalpegel ausregeln. Bei den laute-
sten Passagen sollten die roten LEDs der
Pegelanzeige nicht aufleuchten (Über-
steuerung).
Zur Pegeleinstellung von Kanal 2 den
Crossfader ganz nach rechts schieben
6) Connect the low voltage plug of the
supplied plug-in transformer to the jack
(13) and then connect the plug-in trans-
former to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).

Operation
Prior to switching on the mixer the channel
faders (9) and the microphone control (6)
should be set to minimum in order to prevent
loud switching noise.
1) Switch on the mixer by means of the
power switch (4). The red LED (3) next to
the switch will indicate that the unit is
ready for operation. Then switch on the
connected units.
2) Set the input selector switches (2) for the
channels 1 and 2 to the corresponding
position: Position PHONO will select the
phono input of the channel, position LINE
the line input.
3) For level adjustment of channel 1 move
the crossfader (8) to the extreme left po-
sition and adjust the channel level by
means of the fader for channel 1 with the
aid of the LED level display (5). During
music peaks the red LEDs of the level
display should not light up (overload).
For level adjustment of channel 2
move the crossfader to the extreme right
position and adjust the optimum level by
means of the level display with the fader
for channel 2.
4) Adjust the desired volume for the DJ
microphone connected to the jack DJ
MIC (7) via the control (6).
und anhand der Pegelanzeige mit dem
Fader von Kanal 2 den optimalen Pegel
einstellen.
4) Mit dem Regler (6) die gewünschte Laut-
stärke für das an der Buchse DJ MIC (7)
angeschlossene DJ-Mikrofon einstellen.
5) Mit dem Crossfader kann nun zwischen
den beiden Kanälen 1 und 2 übergeblen-
det werden:
Zum Einblenden von Kanal 1/Ausblen-
den von Kanal 2 den Crossfader nach
links schieben.
Zum Einblenden von Kanal 2/Ausblen-
den von Kanal 1 den Crossfader nach
rechts schieben.
Steht der Crossfader in Mittelstellung,
werden beide Kanäle gleichzeitig auf die
Ausgänge gegeben.
5.1 Vorhören der Kanäle 1 und 2
Die Vorhörfunktion ermöglicht es, Kanal 1
oder Kanal 2 über einen an Buchse HEAD-
PHONES (11) angeschlossenen Kopfhörer
abzuhören, auch wenn der jeweilige Kanal
ausgeblendet ist. Dadurch kann z. B. auf
einer CD der gewünschte Titel ausgewählt
oder der richtige Zeitpunkt zum Einblenden
der jeweiligen Tonquelle abgepaßt werden.
1) Mit dem Umschalter (10) Kanal 1 oder
Kanal 2 anwählen.
2) Mit dem Regler (12) die gewünschte
Kopfhörerlautstärke einstellen.
ACHTUNG: Stellen Sie die Kopfhörerlaut-
stärke nie sehr hoch ein. Hohe Lautstär-
ken können auf Dauer das Gehör schä-
digen! Das menschliche Ohr gewöhnt
5) Fading between the channels 1 and 2 is
possible by means of the crossfader:
For fading in channel 1/fading out chan-
nel 2 move the crossfader to the left.
For fading in channel 2/fading out chan-
nel 1 move the crossfader to the right.
If the crossfader is in mid-position, both
channels are fed to the outputs simulta-
neously.
5.1 Pre-fader listening of channels
1 and 2
With the PFL function it is possible to moni-
tor channel 1 or channel 2 via headphones
connected to the jack HEADPHONES (11)
even if the corresponding channel is faded
out. Thus, e. g. the desired title of a CD or
the optimum moment for fading in the corre-
sponding audio source can be selected.
1) Select channel 1 or channel 2 by means
of the selector switch (10).
2) Adjust the desired headphone volume via
the control (12).
CAUTION: Do not adjust the headphones
to a very high volume. Permanent high
volumes may damage your hearing! The
human ear will get accustomed to high
volumes which do not seem to be that
high after some time. Therefore, do not
further increase a high volume after gett-
ing used to it.
