12. Start-up
12.1
Check installation
To ensure reliable functioning, all system parts must be installed correctly.
12.2
Insert battery and close housing
After installing the battery and connecting the battery connector plug, the detector
performs initialization. Both LEDs are flashing (see 13.1.4). After flashing, the detector
is ready for operation. If necessary set up the operating mode (see Chapter 11).
12.3
Walk test (Test of the function)
Perform a walk test for every detector
panel). The walk test can be switched on and off directly via the control panel.
Check the range of the detector. To do so, open or close the window / door under
realistic conditions. Each release can be seen at the led of the detector.
12.4
Insert seal
(see Chapter 4).
Ensure that the housing is closed correctly.
Insert the seal. The housing is now locked and can only be opened by removing the seal.

13. Operation

13.1
LED indication
13.1.1 After disarming
Note: A detected alarm remains stored in the detector until it is cleared.
The red LED flashes quick:
First alarm
This detector was the first to trigger an alarm.
The red LED flashes slowly:
Subsequent alarm
All subsequent detectors.
13.1.2 Operating state "walk test"
The red LED flashes slowly:
Triggering
detected at least at an input.
The yellow LED flashes slowly:
This signifies that a
battery fault
has occurred.
13.1.3 Operating state "armed" and "disarmed"
The LED indication is blanked.
13.1.4 Special case initial start up
The red and yellow LEDs are flashing quick (in the intervall)
After applying the operating voltage (battery) only in the case of initial start
up.

alcohol or petrol!
17. Warnings about lithium batteries
The device contains a lithium battery. To avoid the risk of fire or burns, the battery must
not be damaged, short-circuited or reloaded. Do not contact it with fire or water. There is a
risk of explosion if the battery is changed improperly. Replace the battery only by the
same or an equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Dispose used batteries
according to EU guideline 2006/66/EG (see following text).
A battery change must only be carried out by qualified personell introduced to the
VDE regulations.
Notes on environment / disposal
Batteries and recharchable batteries - even free from heavy metal - must not
disposed of in domestic waste. According to EU guideline 2006/66/EG users are
obligated to return batteries for recycling. In Germany they will be accepted for free
at each selling point; alternatively they can be dispensed in public storage vessels
for old batteries or at public waste disposal authorities.
Outside of Germany please observe the local regulations on battery disposal.
Commercial batteries may contain heavy metal labelled by:
Pb for lead
Cd for cadmium
Hg for mercury
