Maintenance and cleaning

Note: Remove the plug from the power socket when carrying out work on the
machine.

Carbon brushes

The limit for acceptable wear of the carbon brushes is indicated by the white mark. Only replace
carbon brushes with spare carbon brushes from CIBO with the reference number SMFL264.571.
These can be ordered from us. If you use other brushes, the guarantee will no longer be applica-
ble.
You can see brush sparks through the air intakes. If you see vigorous sparking, you must imme-
diately switch off the appliance. To prevent serious damage subsequently, we advise you to then
send the appliance to one of our CIBO customer service operating centres.

Cleaning

Make sure that the machine and the vents always remain clean so you can work effectively and
in safety. Under extreme operating conditions (for example when working with metal), conduc-
tive substances can collect in the appliance. In this case, we advise you to use a compressor to
regularly blow out the vents.

Electrical connection

The machine is suitable for a single-phase 230 V connection and has a power of 1,200 W. Ensure
suitable fusing to provide electrical protection for the machine.
Although double insulation is used, use of an earth leakage switch is still recommended.
