10 Security settings

10.1 Enabling the SIM card PIN

1. Open the Settings list.
2. Touch Location & security > SIM/RUIM card lock settings.
3. Touch Lock SIM/RUIM card, and enter the default SIM card PIN
using the onscreen keyboard.
4. Touch OK.
Emergency calls can be placed at any time, without entering a
PIN.

10.2 Changing the SIM card PIN

1. Open the Settings list.
2. Touch Location & security > SIM/RUIM card lock settings.
3. Touch Change SIM/RUIM PIN, and enter the old SIM card PIN
using the onscreen keyboard.
4. Enter the new SIM card PIN, and then touch OK.

11 Power Management

11.1 Checking the battery status

1. Open the Settings list.
2. Touch About tablet > Status .
3. On the Status screen, touch Battery status.

11.2 Checking the battery charge level

1. Open the Settings list.
2. Touch About tablet > Status.
3. Touch Battery level.
