9 - TROUBLESHOOTING
9.2 - Entering Test Mode
Test mode is used to validate that the LCD display and motor are functioning correctly, and
can be activated from any state where the Dermapen 4™ is powered on and the motor is
not running.
To Enter Test Mode:
1. Hold both the Speed (and Depth) buttons for 5 seconds. The Status LED will light
orange, the Speed Indication Ring will fl ash and the Depth Indication Digits will fl ash
"TST"
2. Press the Primary Button to initiate Test Mode. During Test Mode:
a. The Status LED will cycle through all colours.
b. All Display elements will be shown to verify they are working correctly.
c. Cartridge will cycle through minimum and maximum depths
d. Motor will cycle through minimum and maximum speeds
3. Upon completion of the test, the motor will switch o . Press the Primary Button within
3 seconds to restart the test sequence.
4. If the Primary Button is not pressed, the Status LED will light blue and the Dermapen 4™
will be ready for normal operation.
