Preparing the cartridge
Remove the cap from the cartridge.

Remove the refi ll fi lter bag from the foil pack, and

insert into the top of the cartridge.
Push the refi ll fi lter bag down into the cartridge

and then close the top with the cap.
Wash the cartridge with tap water.

Insert the cartridge into the funnel and press into
5
position.
Pour water into the jug until
6
it is 2/3 full.
Place funnel into jug.

Leave to stand for twenty minutes.

Pour away the water that has collected in the
9
funnel and the jug.
Pour water into the funnel until it reaches the water line
10
and then allow it to fi lter naturally.
Once the water in the funnel has been
11
fi ltered ※ pour away the water that has
collected in the jug.
※ New cartridges usually take longer to filter water.
Additional time is required when the temperature of
the water is low.
Repeat procedures #10 and #11 twice more (for a total of three times.)

※ Hold the cartridge
above the O-ring.
