Fitting Instructions
Important:
The transmission frequency of the wheel
sensor must match the frequency of the
vehicle system.
Herth+Buss AirGuard wheel sensors
are always designed for a frequency of
433 Mhz.
The wheel sensor is supplied blank
and unactivated.
Do not mount wheel sensors on
damaged wheels.
The purchased wheel sensor can only
be read out and programmed with the
AirGuard programming tool.
Once the wheel sensor installation is
complete, test the function of the RDK
systems using the description in the
vehicle operating manual.

Information:
A tyre pressure gauge should be used to
check the correct tyre pressure.
The AirGuard programming tool is not
suitable for this.
The sensors transfer the tyre pressure
and speed differently during start-up or
motion depending on the vehicle manu-
facturer.
The maximum pressure of the sensor is
9 bar.
Each sensor has a 12-digit, unique serial
number on the bottom.
Supplied parts:
A Self-locking fixing screw
B Wheel electronics
C Valve with stepped grommet
D Spacer ring
E Cap nut
F Valve cap
Following a tyre change or if the wheel sensor
has been changed/removed, it is essential
that the washer (D), nut (E) and the valve
