1. Remove all parts from the package
and remove complete packaging
material. Remove also the transportation
safety appliances, which may be there.
2. Check the delivered items for com-
pleteness.
3. Check all the individual parts for
damages. If damages occur, do not use
the hand-held blender.
4. Clean all the parts of the hand-held
blender before the first use as described
in the chapter "Cleaning".
If parts are missing or damaged, please
contact at the service address men-
tioned in this operating manual.
Assembling the appliance
WARNUNG!
The immersion blender has a sharp
blade, which can lead to severe injuries.
• Pull out the mains plug from the
electrical socket before you mount or
remove the attachments/drive unit on
the hand-held blender.
1) Insert the blender-attachment (2)
on the drive unit (1), and rotate it in the
clockwise direction until the blender
attachment- (2) latches audibly. Thus,
orient yourself according to the picto-
gram on the blending attachment (2)
and the drive unit (1). Please note that
the attachment is completely latched
and sits safely.
For detaching the blender-attachment,
follow the below procedure:

clockwise direction in order to unlock it.
3) Remove the blender-attachment from
the drive unit.
9. Operate
NOTE!
Odour development!
In case of initial use of the hand-held
blender, it can possibly lead to a slight
odour development. It is quite safe and is
not attributable to malfunctioning of the
appliance. Take care to provide ade-
quate ventilation by opening a window.
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
The blender attachment has a sharp
blade, which can lead to severe injuries.
• Before you use the hand-held blender,
keep it without fail in a suitable container.
• Use only the included original attach-
ments.
• Be careful while handling the hot
food material. Switch on the hand-held
blender only if it is dipped into the hot
food material to reduce the risk of fluid
ejection. There is risk of burning.
NOTE!
Risk of damage!
The blender-attachment is not suitable
for chopping hard food material and
can be damaged due to it.
• Do not process hard materials like
frozen, hard cheese rind, old bread or
food materials like Fish bones, bones,
cartilage, stems or kernels.
