Troubleshooting

Problem
Converter will not power
on.

Cause
1. On/Off switch is in "Off" position.
2. Power plug is defective.
3. Fuse is defective (melted).
4. Poor / defective connection with remote
control.
1. Emergency stop has been activated.
2. Front/rear covers are open.
3. Upper valve is opened.
4. Faulty connections.
5. Remote control or Microprocessor is faulty.
1. Blade adjustment is not correct.
1. The entered length is shorter than 20cm
1. Paper jam.
2. The feed motor has blocked.
1. Emergency stop has been activated.
2. Plug/socket connection is faulty.
1. Door or top cover is open.
2. Safety switch is faulty.
1. End of paper reel.
1. Valve system not opend within min. set
length of 23cm.
2. Paper torn in the converter
1. The cut motor has blocked.
1. Valve system is blocked.
1. Number of set cut movements of paper
length reached or 1 year has passed after
last servicing of the machine. Maintenance
is necessary.
1. Miscellaneous
1. The remote control is not communicating
with the microprocessor.
Solution
1. Set the switch to the "On" position
2. Check the power plug (*).
3. Check the fuses T6,3A (*).
4. Check the connections (*)
1. Deactivate the emergency stop.
2. Make sure the front/rear covers are closed.
3. Close the valve or adjust the stop valve.
4. Check the connections (*).
5. Contact your Ranpak Distributor Service
Technician.
1. Have the blade adjustment checked by
service personnel.
1. Enter a length between 20cm and 999cm.
1. Remove the jammed paper. (*)
> Reset de converter
> Select Manual/foot mode
> Simultanious on both Cut buttons
> Remove the pad/coil out the chute
> Reverse the converter (max 3 times);
> Load
1. Release the emergency stop.
2. Check plug/socket connection.
1. Close the door or the top cover.
2. Check the safety switches.
1. Remove the empty paper reel, load a new roll
and feed it in.
1. Switch the machine to manual mode, have
the blade make the cutting movement without
feeding the paper and remove the paper from
the opening
2. Reload paper
1. Press to reset de converter
1. Remove the pad out the chute.
1. Contact your distributor to make an
appointment for maintenance. The machine
will stay operable in the meantime.
1. Check and inform distributor.
1. Check the remote control cable.
