6. Other applications
6.1 Series connection
It is possible to connect multiple units of the same type
to a series connection if these rules are followed:
• No master-slave operation
• The grounds of the analogue interfaces MUST NOT
be connected to each other. This also applies for any
other signal on the analogue interfaces. If remote
control is required, it can be done using galvanic
isolation amplifiers and by controlling all units in
parallel.
• Any load current leading conductor must be dimen-
sioned for the maximum output current of the unit
with the highest nominal output current.

Caution! A maximum allowed 720V total
voltage of a series connection must not
be exceeded!

6.2 Parallel connection
Multiple units with identical output voltage and ideally
identical output current can be used in parallel con-
nection (master-slave or other).
Here the monitor outputs of the master are connected
to the set value inputs of the slave(s) etc.
An example of master-slave wiring with both, voltage
and current:
In case the slave(s) shall only be controlled by cur-
rent (or voltage), the other set value can be tied to
pin VREF or adjusted by an external circuit.
