Installation Instructions

Standard installation: door side pulling, vertical
1. Determine the direction of the door opening (Fig. I)
2. Choose the opening angle of the door, according to the
graph for the weight range of the door (Fig. IV)
3. With the door closed, mark the door and door frame with
the location measurements A–F in the graph (Fig. IV)
Note: Taping the door and frame before marking for the pilot
holes prevents scratches to the door and frame. The tape can
be removed before fixing the closer and mounting seat.
4. Drill pilot holes for the screw locations
5. Install the main jib by fixing the mounting seat on the door frame (see
Fig. III to determine the desired closing force positioning of the seat)
6. Install the closer on the door in the marked position,
ensuring the speed control valve faces the hinge
7. Attach the jib arm (Fig. V (5)) to the forearm (Fig. V (4))
8. After adjusting the forearm's length to make it perpendicular
to the door frame, lock the cap nut tightly (Fig. V (3))
9. Use the screw & washer (Fig. IV (4)) to secure the forearm and main jib
10.Apply the cover (Fig. IV (8)) to the bottom of the axis on the door closer
Alternate installation: pushing door, vertical
1. Determine the direction of the door opening (Fig. I)
2. Choose the opening angle of the door, according to the
graph for the weight range of the door (Fig. VII)
3. With the door closed, mark the door and door frame with
the location measurements A–F in the graph (Fig. VII)

Note: This installation requires a parallel installation mounting bracket.

graph for the weight range of the door (Fig. VIII)
3. With the door open, mark the door and door frame with the

Note: Taping the door and frame before marking for the pilot

be removed before fixing the closer and mounting bracket.
4. Drill pilot holes for the screw locations
5. Install the parallel mounting bracket on the door frame
6. Install the closer on the door in the marked position, ensuring
the speed control valve faces away from the hinge
7. Using a wrench, make the axis on the door closer rotate approximately
30° according to the picture (Fig. VIII) and attach the main arm on the
closer with the screw & washer to generate pre-pressure on the door

8. Put the forearm on the mounting bracket and tighten the screws
9. Adjust the forearm's length and connect it to the main arm,
which should be in a position parallel to the door frame

10.Use the screw & washer (Fig. VIII (4)) to secure the forearm and main jib
11.Apply the cover (Fig. VIII (8)) to the bottom of the axis on the door closer
Adjustment After Installation
• Adjust the closing speed in two stages (Fig. II)
by adjusting the speed control valve
• Rotate clockwise to lower speed
• Rotate anti-clockwise to increase speed
Door closing speed control
To set the speed (Fig. VI):
1. Open the door (Fig. VI (2)) at 90° and adjust
the speed control valve (Fig. II)
2. Open the door at 10° and adjust the second speed control valve
3. Test the door and adjust further if required
• Adjust the door closing time from 90° to close in 4–6 seconds
• If children or elderly regularly use the door, the
closing time can be lengthened for safe use
