Read these instructions before use
DK
These instructions contain important information and warnings. Inexpert or careless
use of open fire in general can, like incorrect handling of the table grill, pose
DE
considerable risk to people and property. It is therefore important that you take the

Eva Solo table grill
Place the Eva Solo table grill on the table, and let everyone join in the fun of grilling
the food! The outside of the table grill is made of porcelain. The grid and the insert
ES
that holds the glowing coals are made of stainless steel. Prior to lighting, the grill
can be lifted by the steel handle. When hot, it stands securely on its trivet. After
use, the bowl, insert and grid can all be put in the dishwasher. And when it is not
FR
being used for barbecuing, you can use the porcelain bowl without the steel insert
as a salad bowl.

Place the stand (3) in the porcelain bowl (2). Place the plate-shaped heat shield
(4) on the stand, and then put the fuel insert (5) in place. Wash the grid (6) with
soapy water to remove any production residues, and then place it on top of the fuel
PT
insert. Use the steel handle to carry the table grill around when it is cold; when it is
hot, it should always stand on the trivet (1). The heat shield (4) reduces the amount
of heat radiating downwards from the grill towards the table. If the shield is not
SE
correctly positioned, a heat-sensitive surface, for example a plastic garden table,
can be permanently damaged.

Lighting
Fill the steel insert with fuel up to the marker ridge. Note that you do not need to
use nearly as much charcoal as for a larger grill. If you have a grill starter, tip the
charcoal or briquettes from the steel insert into the grill starter to ensure the right
quantity. Then follow the instructions on the packaging for lighting the fuel. If you
use barbecue lighting fluid or firelighters, make a pyramid of charcoal or briquettes
in the middle of the steel insert. Break a couple of firelighters into small pieces and
place them between the coals/briquettes, or pour 50 ml of barbecue lighting fluid
over the charcoal. Then light the charcoal, and wait until the coals are covered by a
grey layer of ash, i.e. after approx. 30 minutes, before using the grill. Never pour
barbecue lighting fluid onto a hot grill! Avoid overfilling the steel insert. If the grill
becomes too hot, the food will char, and you even risk damaging the grill.
Cleaning and maintenance
The porcelain bowl, steel insert, grid and the stand are dishwasher-safe. The heat
shield and the trivet must not be placed in the dishwasher. The stainless steel parts
will invariably darken after being exposed to high temperatures. Even though the
steel is stainless, food remnants or undissolved dishwasher detergent can cause
rust spots to develop on the surface. These spots can be removed using a very fine
abrasive cleaning agent (e.g. ceramic hob cleaner). Using a scouring pad will scratch
the surface of the steel. Burnt food which cannot be cleaned off normally should be
removed by smearing the item in a mixture of brown soap and household ammonia.
Then place the item – out of reach of children – in a tightly sealed plastic bag for 24
hours and then clean as normal.
Warnings
Using the grill indoors is life-threatening and poses a serious fire hazard.
• Only begin cooking on the table grill when the coals in the steel insert are covered
by a grey layer of ash, i.e. after approx. 30 minutes.
• Do not use the grill in strong winds. The wind will feed oxygen to the fuel, which
may result in overheating.
• Never pour barbecue lighting fluid onto a hot grill. If possible, avoid using liquid
firelighter products at all. Do not use petrol or methylated spirits for lighting or
relighting, and only use firelighters which are approved for the purpose.
• Do not wear clothes made from lightweight and loose synthetic fabrics near the grill.
• Do not leave children or animals unattended near the grill.
• The steel insert should only be emptied of ash once there are no more embers and
the grill is completely cold.
• Never pour water onto a hot grill. The shock may permanently damage the metal.
• Only use the table grill outdoors. Using the grill indoors is life-threatening and
poses a serious fire risk. Only use the table grill outdoors in places which are well-
ventilated. There is a high risk of carbon monoxide poisoning if the table grill is
used indoors.
• Never use the table grill on board a boat or on other unsteady surfaces. It must only
be used on firm, flat surfaces.
• Do not place the table grill on wooden tables or other flammable surfaces.
• Do not use the table grill in close proximity to flammable materials or objects.
• Do not use the table grill in strong winds. The wind will feed oxygen to the coals/
briquettes, and there will be a risk of overheating and sparks flying from the grill.
• Do not wear clothes made from lightweight and loose synthetic fabrics near the
table grill.
• The grill gets hot, so use grill gloves if necessary.
• The table grill must not be used by children.
• Never leave the table grill unattended.
• The table grill becomes very hot during use. Never try to move the table grill while
hot. Allow the table grill to cool down before moving it. When cold, the table grill
can be moved around by its carrying handle
• Only empty the table grill once there are no more embers and the table grill is
completely cold.
• Always empty the table grill of ash before storing.
• The table grill is designed and approved for use as supplied by the manufacturer.
Tampering with the table grill in any way can be life-threatening.
