• Controllo dello squelch
Il circuito di squelch provvede ad ammutolire il segnale
in uscita dal ricevitore nel caso in cui il segnale presente
in antenna sia inferiore ad un certo valore di riferimento
(livello di squelch). Questo consente di eliminare possibili
interferenze audio nel caso in cui il trasmettitore fosse spento
od il segnale ricevuto fosse inferiore a disturbi presenti
nell'etere. Il controllo dello squelch serve ad impostare la
soglia di riferimento. Questa soglia deve essere scelta per il
minimo valore (su una scala da 1 a 10) che consente, con
trasmettitore acceso, l'eliminazione dei disturbi ambientali.
Per impostare il livello di squelch, dopo aver raggiunto la
schermata relativa tramite il tasto MENU, selezionare con i
tasti freccia una tra le dieci soglie pre-impostate. Una volta
scelta la soglia desiderata, premere il tasto MEMORY per
memorizzare la selezione.

• Squelch control
The squelch circuit takes care of muting the output signal from
the receiver if the signal on the antenna is lower than a given
reference value (squelch level). This enables you to eliminate
any audio noise if the transmitter is switched off or if the signal
received is lower than the noise on the air. The squelch control
function is used to set the reference threshold.
This threshold must be set at the lowest value (on a scale
from 1 to 10) enabling ambient noise to be eliminated with
the transmitter switched on.
To set the squelch level, after reaching the appropriate screen
with the MENU key, use the arrow keys to select one of the
ten pre-set thresholds. After selecting the required threshold,
press the MEMORY key to store it.
