Caution should be exercised when using the petrol strimmer for
vertical trimming of edges of lawns and flower beds. Stay away
from the rotation plane of a cutting string to avoid risk of being
hit with an object thrown by the cutting string.
GUIDELINES FOR SAFE OPERATION OF THE STRIMMER
• When long grass is cut, always work gradually, layer by layer.
• The petrol strimmer should be kept away from hard objects and
cultivated plants.
• The petrol strimmer can be used, only when grass is dry.
• When trimming edges, drive the tool along a lawn edge.
• Clean ventilation gaps in the motor casing on a regular basis.
• Remove grass residues from the guard and cutting string spool
on a regular basis.
• Use recommended spools with the cutting string and blades with
three cutting edges.

INSTALLING THE CHAINSAW ARM
• Loosen the lock knob of the driving shaft guard (13) on the upper
guard of the driving shaft (17).
• Press the latch button (29) located under the protection cover (30)
and slide out the lower guard of the driving shaft (18) from the
mount (if it has been installed as a strimmer) (fig. E).
• Remove the driving shaft from the detached lower guard of the
driving shaft (18) and place it in the lower guard of the chainsaw
driving shaft.
• Connect the lower guard of the chainsaw driving shaft with the
drive as described in the "CONNECTING THE DRIVE" chapter.
INSTALLING THE GUIDE BAR AND CHAIN / TENSIONING THE
CHAIN
The pin and adjustment bolt are used to adjust tension of the
chain. It is very important for the guide bar pin located on the
adjustment bolt to inserted into the guide bar hole during the
installation.
The pin can be moved forward and backward by rotating the
adjustment bolt. The elements should be properly positioned,
before the guide bar is installed on the chainsaw.
The chainsaw guard and chain are delivered separately.
• Loosen the nut and remove guide bar housing (19) (fig. L).
• Place the guide bar (21) on the guiding bolt "d" and move towards
the chain sprocket (37) (fig. M).
• Place the chain (20) on the chain sprocket (37) and guide bar (21).
• Move the guide bar (21) towards the chain sprocket (37) so that
the chain guiding links are located in the guide bar groove (21).
• Check whether the pin "e" on the chain tension adjustment bolt
(38) is located in the middle of the lower guide bar hole (21), (if it
is necessary to make an adjustment).
• Install the guide bar housing (19) in its place and tighten slightly
with the nut.
• Properly tighten the chainsaw chain using the chain tension
adjustment bolt (38) (fig. N).
• The chain is tightened properly, if the chain can be lifted 3 – 4 mm
in the middle of the guide bar located in the horizontal position
(fig. O).
• Firmly tighten the guide bar housing nut (19).
Before the guide bar and chain are installed, check correct
position of the chain cutting teeth. The correct positioning of
the chain on the guard is shown on the guard tip (fig. P).
Wear protective gloves at all times in order to prevent from
being cut by sharp edges during the verification and installation
of the chain.
The chain cannot be overtightened. An adjustment made on a
strongly heated chain may lead to its excessive tensioning as it
cools down.
A new chainsaw chain requires a breaking-in time of
approximately 5 minutes. The chain lubrication is very important
on that stage. After the breaking-in time is completed, check the
tension of the chain and correct it if needed.
The chain tension should be verified and corrected quite often,
since too loose a chain may fall off of the guide bar, be worn too
quickly or cause the guide bar to wear quickly.
CHAIN LUBRICATION
The durability of the chain and chainsaw guide bar depend on
quality of a used lubricant to a large extent. Use lubricating oils
intended for chainsaws only.
Do not use used or regenerated oil to lubricate the chainsaw
chain.
Use lubricating oil of SAE 10W/30 grade throughout the year or
SAE 30W/40 in the summer and SAE 20W/30 in the winter season.
CHAIN GUIDE BAR
the guide bar (21) is exposed to heavy wear especially in the tip
and bottom part. To prevent single-sided wear due to friction, it
is recommended to turn over the guide bar every time the chain
is sharpened. Clean the guide bar groove and oil holes on that
occasion. The guide bar groove is rectangular. Check the groove for
wear. Put a rule to the guiding strip and outer surface of a chain
tooth. If you can see a distance between them, the groove is correct.
Otherwise the guide bar is worn out and needs to be replaced.
SPROCKET WHEEL
The driving chain sprocket is subject to heavy wear. Replace the
chain sprocket, when you find clear signs of wear of sprocket teeth.
The worn chain sprocket additionally reduces durability of the chain.
The chain sprocket should be replaced by an authorised service
workshop.
FILLING THE CHAINSAW LUBRICATION TANK WITH OIL
A new chainsaw has an empty oil tank. Therefore, the tank
should be filled with oil, before it is used for the first time.
• Unscrew the oil filler plug (39).
• Pour in oil in the maximum amount of 400 ml (always make sure
no impurities enter the tank, as it is filled with oil).
• Tighten the oil filler plug (39) (fig. R).
CHECKING LUBRICATION OF THE CHAIN
Check lubrication of the chain and oil level in the tank before starting
to work. Switch on the chainsaw and hold it above the ground. If you
see enlarging oil marks, the chain lubrication works well. If there are
no oil marks or they are very small, use the oil feed adjustment screw
(40) to make appropriate adjustments. In case the adjustment brings
no effects, clean the oil outlet, upper hole of the chain tension and
oilway, or contact an authorised service workshop.
Make adjustments when the saw is switched off, take
precautions and do not allow the guide bar to touch the ground.
Operate the tool safely and maintain the distance of at least 20
cm from the ground.
Use the oil feed adjustment screw (40) to set an amount of fed oil
according to respective operating conditions.
• "MIN" position – oil flow decreases.
• „MAX" position – oil flow increases (fig. S).
When cutting hard and dry wood and using the entire length of the
guide bar when making a cut, set the oil feed adjustment screw (40)
to the "MAX" position.
You can reduce the amount of oil fed by turning the oil feed
adjustment screw (40) to "MIN" position, when cutting soft and
damp wood, or when only a part of the working length of the guide
bar is used.
PROTECTION AGAINST RECOIL
The recoil is movement of the guide bar of the chainsaw up and/or
back, which may happen when the part of the chain on the guide bar
tip encounters an obstacle.
• Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands, when it is started.
