Electric connections:

The device must be connected to a single-phase network with the voltage and frequency indicated on the attached sticker.
A two-pole switch with a 3 mm interruption gap is needed. For details on connecting the switch and the fan, see Figure 3.
Connection:
I. Standard (EV 100/S, EVZ 100/S)*
II. With timer (EV 100/T, EVZ 100/T)*
III. With humidity sensor EV 100/H, EVZ 100/H)*
1. Timer circuit
2. Lighting or other network device
3. Switch
4. Humidity sensor

Warnings
- Devices with a timer (Somogyi Elektronic models EV100/T, EV100/H, EVZ100/T and EVZ100/H) need a second, permanently active phase.
- The switching voltage must be active for at least 10 seconds; push buttons cannot be used.
- The blades of the front grill (in Somogyi Elektronic models EVZ100/S, EVZ100/T and EVZ100) open and close with a delay of at least 40 seconds.
- If possible, use a local switch that interrupts all phases of the power supply including the permanent phase, and that has an interruption gap of at least
3 mm. This ensures that the device is completely disconnected from the network when powered off.
- The fans have a double insulation, therefore no protective grounding is needed.
- Make sure that the supply of fresh air is always ensured in the room through a venting hole on a door or window. Otherwise, the fan may create a
vacuum effect. To ensure proper air supply from an average-sized apartment, there must be an opening (air vent grill) with a free surface of at least 150
2
cm between the room and the rest of the apartment.
- When installing the fan in a room where water is present, follow the instructions in Section 701 of the standard DIN/VDE 0100.
- Pay extra attention to the fact that if the fan is not properly installed, it can reverse the direction of air flow. That creates a high risk of accidents and life
hazard in the room.
- Do not connect the air vent fan's output tube to a chimney, ventilation hole or hot air tube.
- Before starting to install the device, carefully study local regulations about air ventilation and obtain the permission of the person responsible for the
building's operation.
- Make sure that proper ventilation is ensured, especially if the fan is used in the same room where a device with a combustion chamber is also working.
- The air vent fan is designed for use in households or for similar purposes.
- Do not use the device in rooms where the temperature exceeds 40°C.
- Protect the device from direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
- Make sure no objects or liquids get into the inside of the device through the openings on its cover.
- Handle with care; never drop the device. Do not continue using the device if it is damaged.
- Do not use aggressive chemicals for cleaning.
- Never disassemble the device; consult a technician if repair is needed.
- Do not use the device without supervision when children are nearby.
