Warning: For your own safety, never attempt to run the lathe before it is fully assembled and installed as recommended by
the manufacturer.
1 - Rough cut the wooden workpiece before installing it between the jaws. Making it as cylindrical as possible will reduce vibrations.
Always secure the workpiece firmly between the jaws. Any failure to follow these instructions could result in the workpiece being
thrown out.
2 - do not work on split workpieces or pieces with knots.
3 - Always rotate the workpiece by hand before pressing the switch. If the workpiece hits the bed during work, it may slip and be
thrown out.
4 - tighten all the fastenings before starting to work.
5 - the lathe must turn so that the workpiece rotates towards you. do not make the lathe rotate in the wrong direction. this would
risk throwing the chisel out of your hands.
6 - use the lowest speed when you start working on a new workpiece. Excessively high speed would lead to vibrations and eject
the workpiece or wrench the tool out of your hands.
7 - Hold the tool firmly throughout the work.
8 - do not keep your hands in an uncomfortable or unsuitable position. Avoid awkward hand positions. A sudden slip might cause a
hand to move onto a rotating workpiece. take special care if the workpiece contains knots or hollows.
9 - do not allow the chisel to penetrate too deeply into the workpiece, in order to avoid the risk of the workpiece breaking or being
thrown out of the lathe. Always keep the tool rest above the rotation centre for axial turning. never apply the chisel to the workpiece
at a height below the tool rest.
10 - never turn a split workpiece or a piece with loose knots or any other irregularities on a disc or between centres.

do not dispose of unused material as waste; recycle it. All tools, hoses and packaging must be sorted, then sent to
