6. Operating instructions

6.1 Unpacking and inspecting product

• Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to
keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please
observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal,
contact your local waste management center.
• Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be
incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately.

6.2 Intended use

This product is intended for the preparation of food only. Any other use may result in damage to product
or injuries.
The appliance is only intended for grilling and searing food (vegetables, shrimps, meat, etc.). You can also
keep your grilled foods warm or prepare a traditional Swiss Raclette dish.
This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
Use the appliance only as described in this manual.
Any other use might lead to damage of the appliance, property or personal injury.
This product is not intended for commercial use. It is designed for household use only.

6.3 Before first time use

1. Place the appliance on a level, stable, clean, dry and heat resistant surface.
2. During manufacturing, parts of the product are coated with a thin oil film for their protection. To
remove production residue, run the product for approx. 10 minutes without foodstuffs. Make sure
there is sufficient ventilation as a slight odor and some smoke may occur. This is harmless and will
disappear shortly.
3. Clean the product after it has cooled off sufficiently, as described under Cleaning and Care.
4. Dry all the parts thoroughly.

6.4 Installation of hot stone and grill plate

1. Place the product on a level, heat-resistant, sturdy and non-slip surface. The feet are equipped with
non-slip covers.
2. Place the hot stone (4) in cold condition on the grill frame at the side without hollow.
3. Afterwards place the grill plate (7) in cold condition next to the hot stone on the grill frame.
4. The appliance is now assembled and ready for use.
