User's Instruction - INFOSEC UPS SYSTEM PFS 7 TCGE Gebrauchsanweisung

The PFS 7 TCGE was designed to give the highest degree of protection against overloads, voltage peaks, electromagnetic
interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI).
It protects your computers, peripherals and hi-fi equipment against damage caused by voltage peaks, lightning, network
parasites and overloads. It also protects your phone/fax/modem equipment and your satellite reception equipment. .
A reset circuit breaker protects against overloads and blowouts.
Security
Please read all these instructions before installing the PFS 7 TCGE. It must be installed only inside a protected location in
which the temperature and humidity do not exceed the limits defined in the technical characteristics section.
Installation
Plug the PFS 7 TCGE into a two-pole connector with earth (2P+E-10 A). Plug your equipment to be protected into the 7
protected outlets on the PFS 7 TCGE.
Put the mains switch into the "ON" position and check that the "Protected" and "Power OK" lights are on. If it does not light on,
check the electrical power supply.
If the orange "Protected" light is off, do not use the PFS 7 TCGE.
1. Mains switch
The mains two-pole switch of the PFS 7 TCGE is used to switch the 7 sockets on and off.
2. Overload protection
When the consumption of connected equipment exceeds the authorized value, the temperature switch opens to protect the
PFS 7 TCGE.
To put it back into service, reduce the power and reset the circuit breaker.
3. "Power OK"
Green led "Power OK" turns on: power is effective.
Green led "Power OK" is off: power is not effective.
4. Active surge protection led
Orange led "Protected" turns on: the protection is effective.
Orange led "Protected" is off: the protection is not effective.
5. Sockets
Sockets are used to connect equipment such as a PC, printer, monitor, scanner, modem, external CD Rom drive, home DVD
player, etc. They are controlled by the main switch.
6. Transformer power outlets
The large spacing between these power outlets facilitates the connection of transformer blocks.
7. Fax and Modem protection
The PFS 7 TCGE is equipped with protection against overvoltages on the telephone / fax / modem line (2 RJ 11- 6P4C).
Connect the line input to the ''IN'' connector and use the cable supplied to connect the ''OUT'' connector to the telephone / fax /
modem.
8. Coaxial protection
The PFS 7 TCGE is equipped with protection against overvoltages for a satellite coaxial connection. Connect the line input to
the « IN » connector and use the cable supplied for connection of the « OUT » connector.
If there is a problem, do not disassemble the PFS 7 TCGE, there are no reparable parts inside it.
