ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVAL AND CLEANING
OF THE LIFTING ACCESSORY "EDELRID ROKA-E" AS WELL AS
THE REPAIR SETS "SLING KIT" AND "PULLEY KIT"
Cleaning the hardware of EDELRID ROKA-e
Proceed as described, however, without replacing components.
Use medium-strength thread locking agent, such as Loctite
242 or 243.
"Sling Kit": Replacement of the sling of EDELRID ROKA-e
Warning!
Components must be replaced exclusively with original
components supplied by EDELRID! Non-observance will
threaten the life of users!
Using a 4 mm socket hex key, loosen the screws D. Using a
second 4 mm socket hex key, hold the screw on the opposite
side. Then remove axle C and sling H from ring A.
If the ring is contaminated, it may now be cleaned. Do not use
acids or caustic solutions for cleaning!
Replace the used parts by new parts from the "Sling Kit": sling
H, axle C and screws D. For assembly, feed axle C through ring
A and sling H. Screw the screws D into axle C and tighten them
to 6 Nm using a torque wrench (e.g. EDELRID torque wrench).
For permanent locking of the screw joint use the supplied
thread locking agent!
On the second side (ring B) proceed as described above.

"Pulley Kit": Replacement of the pulleys of EDELRID ROKA-e
Warning!
Components must be replaced exclusively with original
components supplied by EDELRID! Non-observance will

241, Using a 4 mm socket hex key, loosen the set screw G. Now the
axle E and the pulley F can be detached from the ring A.
If contaminated, the seat of the pulley can now be cleaned. Do
not use acids or caustic solutions for cleaning!
Replace the used parts by new parts from the "Pulley Kit": pulley
F, axle E and set screw G. For assembly, feed the axle E through
the ring A and pulley F. Screw the set screw G into ring A and
tighten it to 6 Nm using a torque wrench (e.g. EDELRID torque
wrench). For permanent locking of the screw joint use the
supplied thread locking agent!
On the second side (ring B) proceed as described above.
Useful hints
It makes sense to always install the large ring on the side marked
red. When removing the system from the tree, this helps
determine in which direction the rope has to be pulled off.
For installation of ROKA-e, only use bags without metal rings or
rings with a diameter < 17 mm, to ensure the bag's ring cannot
get caught in the smaller ring of ROKA-e.
