• Place the inner plate (E) inside the outer

with charcoal and fit the lid (B) to the

6. Operation

6.1 Safety information

Never use methylated spirits,
gasoline or petroleum to ignite
the grill!

Note
To prevent the flame from
going out while being lit, the
fan must be switched on.
Warning
Warning of burn injuries: the
grill can get very hot! Keep
children and pets at a safe
distance!
• When grilling, always wear over gloves
and use the grill implements(e.g. grill
tongs).
• Never leave a hot grill unsupervised!
• When grilling very fatty foods, ensure
that the inner plate is emptied on a
regular basis.

6.2 First time in use

Oil residue from the manufacturing
process may still be on the charcoal
container and this may smoke slightly
when the grill is used for the first time.

6.3 Ignition

Do not reach into the naked
flame!
Warning
Only use safety combustion
compound as an ignition aid
that is compliant with EN
1860-3 (the European stan-
dard for ignition aids).
Note
All normal charcoal can
be used. Briquettes do not
deliver optimum results.
Note
To prevent the flame from
going out while being lit, the
fan must be switched on.
• Apply a 10 mm ring of grill ignition gel
around the centre hole of the ignition
plate (D) and place the ignition plate
(D) into the inner plate (E).
• Switch on the On/Off switch on the
outer plate (F) and turn the regulator
to its highest setting first of all (clock-
wise).
• Ignite the gel until it catches fire.
• M ove the filled charcoal container (C)
with lid (B) onto the ignition plate (D).
The charcoal starts to smolder within a
very short period of time.
Warning
Set the charcoal container
down carefully and evenly!
• Place the grill rack (A) onto the inner
plate. The two brackets on the sides of
the grill frame must be aligned with the
locking clips.
• Connect the locking clips to the two
brackets then press the clips down-
