TRASPORTATION
The machine transportation can be carried out by authorized means only. Make sure the machine engine has been turned off during transportation.
Should the machine be lifted, use the lifting hook on the structure and a band about 1 metre long.

USAGE INFORMATION

6.1
W
ORKING TIME
According to the rules about the protection against noises, the shredders can only be used in predetermined time periods established by the existing law of the country where the
machine is used.
6.2
M
ACHINE START UP
Place the bio-shredder on a dry and flat ground. Make sure that all protection guards are closed.
Make sure that the level of the oil of the engine, (see Engine Instruction Manual) is not below the allowed limit.
Turn the engine on by following the instructions of the manual and let it warm up for about two minutes, Once this operation has been carried out, bring the engine to its maximum
revolutions (the accelerating lever must be to its maximum capacity).
Attention!! While working the accelerating lever must always be in its maximum position.
If the machine is operated by an electric three-phase engine at 380/400 V of voltage, connect the machine at the power grid and press the starter switch.
6.3
U
SAGE
Use the machine at an ambient temperature between -15° C and 40° C.
The operator can introduce in the hopper leaves and branches whose diameter does not exceed 70 mm.
70 mm is the maximum diameter that can be shredded and relates to a single piece, considering a wood of medium/low hardness; it is thus clear that if an extremely hard wood is
used, the diameter decreases.
In order to achieve excellent working conditions of the machine, it is highly recommended to use an introduction speed of the material that allows the engine to operate always
above its maximum torque.
If wet fibrous material such as lime, pine or palms must be shredded, it is necessary to reduce the introduction speed and open the refining screen to avoid any clogging of the
machine.
6.4
A
CCIDENTAL CASES AND PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW
The bio-shredder does not work loadless
Follow the engine instruction manual and if the problem persists, call the assistance centre.
Addresses and phone numbers can be found in the engine manual delivered with the machine instruction manual.
If the machine is operating with an electrical engine, make sure the plug is inserted correctly in the power grid, make sure the socked being used is live and check you have
pressed the starter switch correctly. Make sure you have entirely screwed the knob (P) to the hopper. Pic. 2
Blocking of the cutting assembly because too much material has been introduced into the machine or because of an accidental fall of stones or metals
Turn the engine off as fast as possible, if it is a machine with an electric engine, disconnect the mains lead and wear safety gloves. Clean the bio-shredder as explained in the
"Maintenance" paragraph. Every time a blocking of the bio-shredder occurs, due to the above mentioned causes, always check the correct efficiency of both the transmission belt
and shredding assembly, check also the integrity of the blade, hammers and shafts.
Blocking of the shredding assembly when introducing material – difficulty in shredding due to the few power available on the shredder and shifting of the belt
Turn the engine off as fast as possible, if it is a machine with an electric engine, disconnect the feeder cable and wear safety gloves. Check and stretch the belt as described in the
"Maintenance" paragraph.
Blocking of the bio-shredder due to lack of fuel
Fill the tank with the suitable fuel but DO NOT start up the machine immediately after, as the machine might break down because of the overheating of the belt.
Before starting up the machine, remove the material jammed in the shredding group.
Excessive vibrations
The causes of excessive vibrations can either be: unbalance of the cutting assembly due to a strong impact, breaking of the blade or serious damage to the hammers, seizure of a
bearing or loose transmission components. Find out the exact cause of this problem and contact an authorised technician for the repair.

MAINTENANCE

Before any check, maintenance or cleaning activity that has to be carried out at the end of every process, turn the engine off (if it is an electric machine, disconnect the feeder
cable) and wear safety gloves.

LEANING OF THE BIO
CUTTING TOOLS ARE DANGEROUS !!!
Unfasten the knob (P) entirely from the hopper. Pic. 3A
Unfasten slightly the 6 nuts (D), turn the hopper and remove it from the body of the machine. Pic. 3B
If there is some jammed material and it is impossible to remove it following these easy operations, it is necessary to remove the discharge pipe to have an easier access to the
shredding group.

HECKING AND REPLACING OR SHARPENING OF THE BLADE
The blade must always be checked before using it. In order to guarantee the good working of the machine, to achieve the best working conditions and avoid any damage of the
machine, the blade must always be intact and sharp (Pic. 4A). The duration of the cutting wire depends on the nature and type of the shredded material and it is therefore
impossible to give a precise datum. If the machine is used to shred material containing dust, sand, or earth, the cutting wire of the blade will deteriorate very quickly.
ATTENTION: USING THE MACHINE WITH THE BLADE IN BAD CONDITIONS CAN CAUSE MECHANIC DAMAGES IMPUTABLE TO THE USER.
In order to check the conditions of the blade, you need to have access to the rotor as indicated in the paragraph "Maintenance-Cleaning of the bio-shredder", when the blade is as
in Pic. 4B, it needs to be sharpened. This intervention must be carried out only by authorised mechanics.
In order to disassemble the blade, it is necessary to insert an Allen screw in the screws V (pic.5) and then unscrew the nuts D (pic. 5) with a spanner with fixed jaws. Remove the
blade (L. Pic. 5) and sharpen it (it is important to respect the values indicated in Pic. 4A) or replace it, if necessary. Reassemble the blade (L Pic. 5) making sure the supporting
