approx. 10 mm and insert them through one of the
cable inlets (4).
4.3.1 Surveillance monitor/TV set
1) Connect the video input of the monitor via a 75 Ω
coaxial cable to the terminal 8 "Vid" and the shield-
ing to the terminal 7 "GND".
2) For audio transmission, connect the audio input of
the monitor via a shielded audio cable to the termi-
nal 6 "AuA" and, in case of stereo transmission,
additionally to the terminal 4 "AuB". Connect the
shielding to the terminal 5 or 3 "GND".
3) It is also possible to connect a TV set instead of a
monitor. If the TV set is not provided with a video
and audio input, the receiver can be connected to
the antenna jack of the TV set via an RF modula-
tor.
4.3.2 Signal device or other additional unit
If the transmitter used is provided with a control chan-
nel, it is possible to activate an optical or acoustic sig-
nal device or another additional unit connected to the
receiver via this channel (e. g. video recorder for auto-
matic start of a recording). The connection is shown
in fig. 3 where the unit to be connected is symbolized
by R1.
If triggering requires a current exceeding 100 mA,
insert a relay or a switching amplifier. When connect -
ing an inductive load (e. g. relay), the protective diode
D1 must be connected in parallel in reverse direction!
4.3.3 Output video detector
Once a synchronized video signal is received, the col-
lector of a transistor switches the terminal 2 "VD" to
ground. Hereby a certain switching process may be
released (e. g. start of a video recording). The con-
nection can be compared with that of a control chan-
nel (fig. 3).
4.3.4 Power supply
For power supply, a regulated power supply unit with
an output voltage between 9 V
quired, e. g. MONACOR PS-120WP. The current con-
sumption of the receiver is approx. 200 mA at 12 V.
1) In case of power supply units with variable output
voltage, adjust a value between 9 V and 30 V.
2) Connect the power supply unit:
Connect the positive pole to the terminal 12 "+DC"
and the negative pole to the terminal 11 "GND".
3) The fed-in operating voltage is present at the ter-
minals 10 "+DC" and 9 "GND" and may be routed
to supply a second unit.
4) Make all other connections before connecting the
power supply unit to a mains socket (230 V~ /
50 Hz). After applying the operating voltage, the
receiver is switched on and the display (5) is illu-
minated.
4.4 Adjustments
4.4.1 Channel selection
The wireless transmission is made in the 5.8 GHz
range which has been divided by the manufacturer
into 16 channels with a distance of 9 MHz. At the
receiver, the same channel must be adjusted as on
the transmitter.
receivers, a different channel must be used for each
pair of transmitter / receiver and two channels must
always remain vacant between the channels used. In
this case, e. g. only the channels 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16
can be used, i. e. a maximum of 6 channels at the
same time.
(5) shows the adjusted receiving channel. To adjust
another channel, actuate the control button (6):
press upwards:
press downwards:
The adjusted channel is kept memorized even after
disconnection from the power supply.
4.4.2 Polarization
The reception antenna (7) has a fixed vertical align-
ment and cannot be modified, i. e. the transmitting
antenna must also be aligned vertically.
4.4.3 Matching the video level
The video output level at the terminal 8 "Vid" is
adjusted to 1 Vpp conforming to standards and
should not be changed. In special cases, however,
the level can be matched according to requirement.
The control for this purpose is accessible from the
rear side of the inside part through the round hole on
the top left. For the adjustment use a small screw-
driver (1.5 mm).
4.4.4 Automatic channel switching-over
If several transmitters are operated on different chan-
nels, the receiver may automatically switch over
and 30 V
is re -
between these channels. For this purpose, a dwell
time must be adjusted for each of these channels in
the service mode (chapter 4.5, see function channel
dwell time). After deactivating the service mode, the
automatic channel switching-over may be activated:
Press the control button (6) to the right. The display
(5) shows the channel just received in a flashing way.
To deactivate the automatic switching-over, press the
control button to the right again.
4.4.5 Decoding of video signal
If the video signal has been encoded at the transmit-
ter by signal inverting, the signal at the receiver must
be re-inverted for correct picture display on the moni-
tor. For this purpose, press the control button (6) to
the left. To deactivate the decoding, press the control
button to the left again.
For parallel operation of several transmitters and
After applying the operating voltage, the display
