Commissioning (figures 1 + 3, page 2)
Important: Do not place the air pump outdoors, protect it from rain and other
sources of water.
-
Do not install or use the air pump in environments that are exposed to atmospheric
agents.
-
Make sure that the pump draws clean and pure water.
-
Place the air pump unit on a stable surface above the water level. (B)
-
Secure the air pump with rope to prevent it from walking. (A)
(If the air pump has 2 outlets, perform the following steps for both outlets)
-
Cut 20cm off of the air hose and slide it over the outlet of the air pump (2)
-
Place the check valve (3) on the 20cm air hose (2) note the direction of air flow
indicated on the check valve (3)).
-
Connect the remainder of the hose (4) to the check valve (3).
-
Connect the air stone (5) to the air hose (4)
-
Place the air stone (5) in the water. (Max. 30cm deep). If too long, you may cut the
air hose (4) to a shorter length.
-
Plug the power cord in an electrical outlet to turn the air pump on.
Maintenance
To ensure a long life span and problem-free operation, we recommend that you check the
pump regularly for air capacity reduction by checking whether the air stones are producing
enough air bubbles.
-
If the air capacity has decreased, replace the air stones. If this does not improve air
capacity, check the air pump.
-
Turn off the air pump by unplugging the power cord from the electrical outlet.
-
Check the filter wool on the bottom of the pump for contamination. If contaminated,
take out the filter wool and blow out the dust that is trapped in it.
-
Unscrew the screws from the bottom of the pump and remove the top cap.
-
Replace the membranes (no. 2, page 11)
-
Put all parts back in and tighten the screws.
In the winter
-
Protect the air pump from frost.
-
Do not allow the air pump to draw hot air, as this will cause condensation to form in
the air hose to the pond or filter and the hose may likely clog up or freeze in the
winter.
Removal and storage of waste
All household electrical appliances must be removed in accordance with EU directives.
The product may not be disposed of with the normal household waste, but should be
collected separately.
You are personally responsible for bringing the device to a designated landfill site. It must
be dismantled and processed in an environment-friendly manner.
