Descaling the kettle (hD9386/hD9388)
If the kettle needs to be descaled, the calc light lights up on the display of
the base.

To start the descaling process, press the black tea button and the

personal setting button at the same time (Fig. 20).
The kettle heats up the water to 80ºC.

During the descaling process, the calc light slowly pulsates until the

The display counts down the time of the descaling process (30

minutes) in steps of 5 minutes. The time on the display slowly pulsates.
When the descaling process is finished, you hear an audible signal and

the appliance switches off automatically.

Note: If you take the kettle off the base before the descaling process is finished,
the appliance switches off automatically. You can also deactivate the descaling
process by pressing any of the preset buttons.
Note: If you do not descale the kettle, the calc light lights up the next 5 times
you use the kettle.
