Please note the following

Read the operating instructions thoroughly. Persons who are not familiar with the operating
instructions and children are not permitted to operate the appliance. Use the appliance only
for the specified purpose. Any misuse is strictly forbidden because of the dangers involved.

Before putting into use

Clean the raclette grill before first use with hot soapy water and let it dry. Do not submerse the
appliance in water or put it in a dishwasher. Observe a reasonable distance from walls. When first
switched on, the appliance will produce an odour due to new parts being heated, which will dis-
appear after a few minutes. It is recommended to let the appliance heat up for 10 to 15 minutes
in a well-ventilated room prior to first use. The resulting smoke and smell is completely normal
and does not impair the quality of the product.

Putting into use / operation

Preheating: Raclette function: As described under "Before putting into use".
Swing the cheese holder (4) outwards (a). Place the cheese block in the holder (b). Adjust the
holder to the correct melting height (depending on the thickness of the cheese block): hold
the black handle with one hand, whilst loosening the screw with the other hand. Slide the cheese
holder to the desired height. Tighten the screw (c). Swing the cheese holder under the heater
element to start melting the cheese (d).
