Sending a message
Predefined messages

With FleetBoard TiiRec you can send 3 dif-
fering messages to the headquarters which
have been predefined by the headquarters.
The messages can be sent using the following
®
FleetBoard TiiRec buttons:
Ñ Home-Call
R
Ò Event-Call
R
Ó Service-Call
R
i To prevent the Service-Call function from
being accidentally activated, the Ó
Service-Call button has to be pressed for at
least 2 seconds.
Sending Home-Call, Event-Call or

Turn the key to the drive position in the
ignition lock.
X
Press the Ñ, Ò or Ó button on

FleetBoard TiiRec.
The Home-Call requested,
requested Service-Call requested

message appears in the display depending
on the button pressed. Additionally, you
hear a confirmation tone. The status indi-
cator lights up yellow.
®
FleetBoard TiiRec generates the data
which is to be sent. This may take a few
seconds. Subsequently, the
sent, Event-Call sent

message appears in the dis-
play.
If it is not possible to send the message, the
Home-Call failed, Event-Call failed
Service-Call failed

Change the location of the vehicle.

Resend the message.
Reading a message (Actros)
Received messages are indicated by the
* symbol in the display. The status indi-
cator lights up yellow.
Messages can only be viewed once. The pre-
viously viewed message is deleted during
scrolling.

Turn the vehicle key in the ignition lock to
the drive position.
X
Press the V or U button on the mul-
tifunction steering wheel.
X
Select the menu item ACTROS-Info/SMS.
The display shows the first page of a mes-
sage.
i The vehicle display can only send a mes-
sage with a maximum of 140 characters.
Messages longer than 70 characters are
divided into two pages. A message can
have a maximum of two pages.
X
To scroll: press the * button on the
multifunction steering wheel.
Display next text message?
The
sage appears in the display.
X
Select No and confirm.
The display shows the second page of the
message.

To read the next unread message: press
the * button on the multifunction steer-
ing wheel.
Display next text message?
