Intended use
The product serves as a portable external rechargeable battery and is suitable for charging
the rechargeable battery of mobile devices (e.g. smartphone, MP3 player, digital camera, etc.).
The built-in internal rechargeable battery is charged via USB. The product is protected against
short circuit and overcurrent.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture
(e.g. in bathrooms) must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval reasons, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the
operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available
to third parties together with its operating instructions.

Explanation of symbols
The symbol with the lightning in a triangle indicates that there is a risk to your health,
e.g. due to an electric shock.

information in these operating instructions that must be observed.
The arrow symbol indicates special information and tips on how to use the product.
Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and observe in particular the safety
instructions. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in these operating instructions, we will assume no liability for
any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate
the warranty/guarantee.
a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong impacts, flammable gases,
vapours and solvents.
• Never expose the product to mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorised use. The safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
• Always observe the safety instructions and operating instructions of any other
devices which are connected to the product.
• Make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into
a warm one. The condensation that forms might destroy the product. Allow the
product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it to use. This
may take several hours.
• Never leave the product unattended during use.
• The housing warms up during use. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Do
not cover the housing!
• Do not store the product in a heated vehicle. Avoid excessive heat (max. 35 °C).
Observe the information in the "Technical data" section.
• Store the product in a cool, dry place when it is not in use.
• Do not short-circuit the USB inputs/outputs.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if
you have concerns about safety.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be carried out by a technician or a
specialist repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Rechargeable battery
• The rechargeable battery is permanently built into the product and cannot be
replaced.
• Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeable
battery might cause an explosion or a fire!
• Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the
battery or the product into fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you do are not using the
product. Due to the rechargeable battery technology being used, you do not need
to discharge the rechargeable battery first.
• Never charge the rechargeable battery of the product unattended.
• When charging, place the product on a surface that is not heat-sensitive. It is
normal that a certain amount of heat is generated during charging.

Charging the internal rechargeable battery
Fully charge the internal rechargeable battery before first use.
Never charge the internal rechargeable battery while an external mobile device is
being charged.
Before charging, make sure that the USB power source can deliver a sufficient
charging current, otherwise you may damage the product.
Do not use a USB port of a computer, keyboard or USB hub without a power adapter
to charge the internal rechargeable battery, as the current supplied by these ports is
not sufficient.
Make sure that the connected devices' specifications conform to the product's
specifications listed in the technical data section.
• Connect the Micro USB plug of the included Micro USB charging cable to the
Micro USB port (3).
• Connect the USB-A plug to a suitable USB power source (e.g. USB power adapter
with sufficient output current; see technical data). The remaining capacity of the
rechargeable battery for order nos. 1783463 and 1754723 is indicated by the
LED battery level indicator (4) as follows:
1 steady LED, 1 flashing LED:
2 steady LEDs, 1 flashing LED:
3 steady LEDs, 1 flashing LED:
4 steady LEDs:
Recharge the rechargeable battery at the latest when the LED battery level indicator shows
a remaining capacity of > 25%.
• Item no. 1783462 has only one status LED (1). The status LED flashes during charging. The
status LED glows steadily as soon as the rechargeable battery is fully charged.
