1. Removing the seats
Secure your vehicle so that it can't roll away during installation. In case of
vehicles with side airbags integrated in seat arm rests the corresponding
instructions and regulations of the manufacturer for demounting/de-installation
of seats and/or upholstery have to be strictly obeyed.
Once you've checked whether the seat heating can be installed in your vehicle, you can
go ahead removing the seats. Release the fastening screws and take the seat out of the
vehicle.
2. Remove all plastic trims from the seat in order to get access to the place where the
cover fabric is fastened.
3. Separate the backrest from the
seating (see picture 1).
4. Open the seat cover. In most
cars, a wide sheet of cardboard
or metal wire holds the cover
fabric in place in a groove on
the underframe. The fastening
can be released with the help
of a screwdriver and pliers (see
picture 2).
5. Release the upholstery clips or cross struts, if there are some
(see picture 3).
