1. The adjustable lanyard can be used in two ways:

a. Lateral connection - EN 358:
Fix the connecting element (carabiner) at the device
at one of the lateral retaining eyelets of the waist
belt (Pics. 2A + 3A). Lead the rope end with the stit-
ched loop and carabiner around the anchoring point
and fix the carabiner at the second lateral retaining
eyelet of the waist belt that is still free (Pic. 2A).

At the device, only a suitable (freely movable in the
eyelet) connecting element (carabiner) according to
EN 362/2004 may be used (Pic. 1D) - recommen-
ded: oval carabiner with Trilock safety catch.
At the rope end (anchor point) each connecting ele-
ment (carabiner) that is suitable for the fixing point
used and in compliance with EN 362/2004 can be
applied (Pic. 1A).
During use, it is essential for the user's safety to
always position the device and/or the anchor points
correctly and to perform the work in such a way
that the danger of falling and the height of the fall
are reduced to a minimum.
After final positioning the adjustable lanyard must
remain taut to limit the height of any fall that may
occur to 0.5 m.
