R Emptying the waste container
Switch off the motor, leave the hose connected and shake the filter
as described in "Shaking the filter".
Q By raising the pedal bar, the waste container is lowered to the
ground and can either slid clear of the machine for disposal of waste,
or the machine can be pushed forward to clear the container.
W After emptying, the container is placed under the machine, with
one handle to the rear and the pedal bar pushed down, automatically
lifting and sealing the container back in its position.
T Dust bag
For efficient pick-up and hygienic emptying, a plastic bag is
available. The bag is placed in the waste container by pressing it
close to the container side to fill it out. Press the inlet opening on the
inlet tube and then roll the bag over the container edge.
Removal of the bag is done by carefully folding the bag over the
waste to close it inside the bag.
Y Disposable container
For hazardous dust, a disposable container is available. When the
container is full, it is sealed with a lid and a locking ring making the
container safe to dispose.
U Separator tank
For collecting large quantities of dust, soot, sawdust, pieces of
paper, yarn or cloth, the system capacity can be increased and
hence the emptying frequency decreased, by adding in a pre-
separator or interceptor tank.
Lids with inlet and outlet for Ø 70 mm and Ø 100 mm are available.
For easy transportation of the interceptor tank a 3-wheeled trolley
can be supplied. Other tank systems can be supplied on request.
Accessories
Nilfisk supplies a large selection of tubes and nozzles for ordinary
cleaning, overhead cleaning, and specific cleaning tasks.

I Manometer
The suction cleaner can be fitted with a manometer, indicating the
degree of clogging of the main filter. When the needle is in the red
zone, the motor needs to be switched off and the filter shaken.
This is particularly useful in fixed pipework systems, where a drop in
efficiency may not be immediately noticed.
Exhaust filters
The exhaust filters are for use where the exhaust air from the cleaner
must be absolutely clean. The exhaust filters are fitted in place of the
diffuser bags.
The exhaust filters are easily fitted and the filter element is
replaceable.
Mounting kits without filter elements, ref. no. 117795 are holding the
filter elements in HEPA, ref. no. 217780 or in ULPA, ref. no. 217790 in
place.
Instructions for use are supplied with the exhaust filters.
Sound suppressors
In places where a lower noise level is required or desired, the
cleaners can be fitted with sound suppressors, reducing the noise by
5 dB (GB 933) and 7 dB (GB 1033).
Tool box
The specially designed steel tool box clips onto the machine handle.
It allows accessories to be carried conveniently whilst cleaning takes
place.
Hand grip
To ease work with Ø 70 mm accessories, the tube can be supplied
with a practical hand grip.
O Fixed floor nozzle
Large open areas are most effectively and quickly cleaned with a
fixed floor nozzle which cleans a 75 cm path. This nozzle cleans right
up to the skirting, machinery and furniture, whether side-ways or
head-on. The fixed floor nozzle clips to machine by a spring latch
and can be held clear of the floor for easy transportation.
The fixed floor nozzle is mounted to the container as follows
Q The fixed pin is placed in the slot in the container bracket.
W The spring loaded pin is located into the hole on the opposite side
of the bracket.
E Lift nozzle to allow hose to be connected to the container inlet.
A reduction tube may be required to couple the nozzle to the inlet.
To disconnect, reverse above procedure.
Adjustment of rubber blades
R The distance of the rubber blades from the floor should be about
1 mm, and the adjustment is made by means of the two
fingerscrews.
T During idle periods or during transportation, the nozzle should be
raised from the floor by placing the nozzle brace on to the container
hook.
Y As an alternative a brush set consisting of floor brush strips is
available.
Maintenance
Always keep the suction cleaner in a dry place. The cleaner is
designed for continuous heavy work. Depending on the number of
running hours the filter should be inspected and if necessary
replaced.

Fault finding
• the motor will not start
– a fuse in one of the three phases of the mains may have blown
and needs replacing.
– the cable or the wall socket may be defective and need checking.
• the suction power is reduced
– the filter may be clogged and needs shaking, see point 3.
– the container may be full and needs emptying, see point 4.
– the hose, tube or nozzle may be blocked and needs to be
cleared.
