Adjustment of the Bus Coupler
The Bus Coupler enables the connection of ABB i-bus
Sensors/Actuators to an EIB bus line.
In order to be able to put the device into operation, the
physical address and the logical address (group address)
must be allocated. Furthermore, the mode of operation of
the Bus Coupler must be defined.
To Allocate the Physical Address
• Using the EIBA software (ETS), connect a PC to the EIB
bus line via the EIB-RS 232 interface (Art. No. 6186-500
or 6133-2x-500).
• Press the progamming pushbutton on the Bus Coupler:
The red (programming) LED (Fig. 1, Pos. 5) lights up.
• The red LED extinguishes after the physical address has
been programmed.
• Note the number of the physical address on the label
(Fig. 1, Pos. 2) using a non-smudge pen.
