Headlamp HiLight® LED H-800
Dear customer, thank you for choosing a KaWe product. Our products
are characterised by their high quality and longevity. This KaWe prod-
uct complies with the regulations prescribed by EG-Guideline 93/42/
EWG (Guideline for Medical Products).
Before using this product, please read this User's Manual
carefully and in its entirety and heed the specified mainte-
nance instructions.
Before using this product, make sure to thoroughly familiarise
yourself with its operation.
Use: This HiLight LED H-800 headlamp is only to be used by author-
ised, qualified personnel.
Purpose: The HiLight LED H-800 headlamp is intended to be used as
a source of illumination during medical examinations. The headlamp
is designed to be worn on the head while being used, thereby provid-
ing the wearer with an optimally illuminated visual field. If desired,
the binoculars can be attached to the headlamp in order to magnify
the examined subject. The following options are available (magnifica-
tion x working distance): 2.5 x 340mm, 2.5 x 420mm, 3.5 x 340mm,
3.5 x 420mm.
Assembly/Disassembly: The HiLight LED H-800 headlamp must
be used with a KaWe-brand lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack.
For this purpose, there is a cord on the right-hand side, which is direct-
ly connected to the rechargeable battery on the headband as well as
with the cord for the rechargeable battery on the belt. When using the
headlamp with the rechargeable battery on the headband, the battery
pack must first be secured to the back side of the head strap. Insert the
latches on the battery pack housing into the slots on the back side of
the headlamp strap and gently slide them into their locked position. To
unlock and remove, slide in the battery pack in the opposite direction.
The binoculars can be mounted on the front of the headlamp under-
neath the lamp body, whereby the fastening screw on the binocular
hinge must first be removed. After the binoculars have been inserted
into the mounting bracket, the fastening screw must be screwed from
the front into its threaded hole. The position of the binoculars can be
adjusted by gently loosening the fastening screw. After adjustments
have been made, tighten the fastening screw to ensure that the binoc-
ulars remain in the desired position.
Unintended Use/Contraindication of the Products: Any usage
that is different from or that goes beyond the stated intended
purpose is considered improper. The manufacturer shall not be liable
for damage resulting from improper use; the user alone bears the risk.
Only the included rechargeable battery pack or an original KaWe
rechargeable battery pack is to be used to supply power to the lamp.
Initial Use/Handling: 1. Connect the headlamp to a rechargeable
battery pack (for headband or belt). 2. Press and hold the control
knob for approx. 1 second. The lamp will illuminate. 3. After the light
has been turned on, the brightness is automatically at its lowest
level. In order to increase the brightness, turn the control knob
clockwise. LED indicator lights display the selected brightness level.
4. To turn the light off, press and hold the control knob for approx.
1 second. 5. The headlamp cannot be used while the batteries are
being charged.

Warning: This device is maintenance free. For this reason, the hous-
ing cannot be opened. Repairs are only to be carried out by a qualified
expert. Remove and replace damaged parts.
If the device appears to be damaged, disconnect the power cord
from the battery pack immediately. Avoid further operation and re-
turn the device to our customer service / technical department . The
HiLight LED H-800 headlamp is not designed for use in environments
in which explosions may occur, in the presence of strong magnetic
fields, or in surgery. Only KaWe-brand components are to be used.
Modifications to this device are not allowed.
