radio modules, do not plug the three-pin terminals of the
radio modules (Fig. 1.3) onto the smoke detector. The
red LED (Fig. 1.1) then begins to flash approximately
once every second. Release the button again. The radio
module enters programming mode for approximately 60
seconds. After this period, immediately press the button
of the radio module to be added for approximately 2–3
seconds. The red LED then begins to flash approximately
once every second. Release the button again. The radio
module enters programming mode for approximately
60 seconds. During this time, the radio module to be
added will be automatically incorporated into the existing
radio group. The programming process can take up to
approximately 60 seconds in total.
Creating an additional radio group
At any one time, activate only the two radio modules
that are to be programmed and not every module
simultaneously. Proceed in the same manner as
described in the section entitled "Creating a radio group".
Program only the radio modules to be incorporated into
the additional radio group. During this process, do not
integrate a radio module that is already assigned to
another radio group. It is possible to create up to eight
independent radio groups.
Teach-in process for the radio hybrid
control panel N 100
Before performing the teach-in process for the radio hybrid
control panel, the radio module itself must be programmed
so that the radio module automatically assigns itself to a
radio group (see "Programming/commissioning", "Creating a
radio group"). To perform the teach-in process for the control

panel, only the radio module to be taught in must be in
operation. Activate the teach-in function for a radio detector
in menu 2.1 of the N 100. When you are prompted to briefly
actuate the test button on the radio detector, briefly press the
button (Fig. 1.2) on the radio module. The radio module emits
test radio messages and is thereby taught into the control
panel. Take the radio module that was just taught in out of
operation and repeat the process with all radio modules that
are to be taught in.
If an additional radio module is in operation when the
button (Fig. 1.2) is activated, the test radio message will
be forwarded by this radio module. The radio module
acknowledges that the test radio message has been
forwarded by emitting three short sounds at intervals of
approximately five seconds.
Note:
The button (Fig. 1.2) is locked for five minutes after being
activating. This also applies for the radio modules that
have received the test radio message.
