Cleaning the dust container

Check the dust container (16) when emp-
tying each time, however at the latest eve-
ry 3 to 6 months. If you detect dirt, clean
the dust container as follows:
Remove the hand vacuum cleaner

from the main body.
Press the release button (15) and
‹
open the lid (1).
Pull the release latch (14) outwards
‹
and remove the dust container.
Pull the filter out of the dust container
‹
(see image F1).
Empty the dust container (16), see
‹
image F2.
If necessary, clean the dust container
‹
as described in the section Cleaning
the filter.
Rinse the dust container with water
‹
and clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
Insert the filter back into the dust con-
‹
tainer.
Insert the upper part of the dust con-
‹
tainer into the hand vacuum cleaner
and subsequently press the lower part
tightly until it snaps in (see image G).
Close the lid (1) until it snaps in.

Cleaning the filter

The finest particles in the air are filtered
before they are blown out of the appliance.
Check the filter (17) and (18) every 3 to 6
months. If dirt is detected during checking,
clean the filter. Proceed as follows:
Remove the dust container from the
‹
appliance.
Pull the filter out of the dust container.
‹
Unlock the coarse filter by turning it
‹
clockwise and pull it off the fine filter
(see image F3).
Clean both filters with a brush. The
‹
filters can be rinsed with water (max.
40 °C). In the case of stubborn dirt,
clean the filter with a normal vacuum
cleaner.
Allow the filter to dry in the air for 24
‹
hours and insert it again when it is
completely dry.
Align the keyway on the fine filter and
‹
the recesses on the coarse filter with
each other and insert the fine filter into
the coarse filter.
Lock the filter by turning the coarse
‹
filter anticlockwise (see image F4).
Insert the filter back into the dust con-
‹
tainer.
Insert the upper part of the dust con-
‹
tainer into the hand vacuum cleaner
and subsequently press the lower part
tightly until it snaps in (see image G).
Close the lid (1) until it snaps in.
