Cleaning the humidifying discs and bearings
Water taken up from the tank evapo-

rates on the humidifying discs (10.).
At the same time dirt particles from the
air are washed off into the tank. On
hygienic grounds, the discs must
therefore be cleaned regularly.
We recommend washing the discs

down weekly (best under the shower).
Monthly/seasonally: Clean the humidifying discs and bearings.
Pull out the flat snap-on side plugs (15.)
to remove the discs from the shaft (11.)
for easier cleaning (e.g. with a brush).
To avoid scratching the surfaces, never
use abrasive cleaning sponges (green/
yellow).

The discs can be cleaned one by one in
the dishwasher - but not hotter than
40 °C or they will deform (not covered by the guarantee). Please
follow the dishwasher instructions.
Mount the clean dry discs on the shaft again. Then clean the snap-
on plugs and replace them.
Caution: never put the plugs in the dishwasher!
Deposits building up on the shaft bear-
ings (12.) during operation should be
removed monthly with a damp cloth.
This ensures smoother and quieter
operation.
