1. Safety Information

Carefully read through these instructions before starting the installation.
• The installation and initial startup of the complete station must be carried out by a specialist firm.
• Before starting work, familiarise yourself with all the parts and their handling.

1.1 Regulations/guidelines

Observe the valid accident prevention (health & safety) regulations and statutory regulations for the assembly, installation
and operation of thermal solar systems:
Connection of thermal solar systems:
• DIN 4753, Part 1: Water heaters and water heating systems for drinking and service water.
DIN 4757 , Part 1: Solar heating systems with water or water mixtures as heat transfer media,

requirements for safe design.
Installation and design of water heaters:
• DIN 18 380: Heating systems and central water heating systems.
• DIN 18 381: Gas, water and wastewater installation work inside buildings.
DIN 18 42: Insulation work on technical installations.

• AVB WasV: Regulations on the general conditions for supply with water.
Electrical connection:
• VDE 0100: Construction of electrical equipment, earthing, protective conductors, equipotential bonding.
• VDE 0701: Repair, modification and testing electrical equipment.
VDE 0185: General information for the installation of lightning protection systems.

• VDE 0190: Main equipotential bonding of electrical systems.
• VDE 0855: Installation of antennae (to be applied accordingly).

1.2 Intended use

All the stations described here are intended for the operation of solar systems with Propylene glycol and water mixtures. It
is not permitted to use another medium.
Caution! Do not make any changes to the electrical components, the construction or the
hydraulic components! Otherwise you will impair safe function of the system.

1.3 Liability

We reserve all copyrights for this document. Misuse, in particular reproduction, copying and forwarding to third parties are
not permitted. These installation and operating instructions are to be given to the customer. The fitter must explain to the
customer how the unit works and operates.
