Inserting Batteries

Open the snap lock on the battery holder on the under-
side of the hand controller and insert four AA batteries,
as shown, into the cover for the battery holder. We
recommend using better quality batteries, such as alkali
batteries.
Close the battery holder.

Turning the Hand Controller On

The hand controller is turned on by pressing on Button
for a longer period (required only in operation with
F
radio remote control). The hand controller is ready for
operation as soon as the upper monitor light comes on.
If the upper monitor light blinks or does not come on,
then the batteries are run down. Change the batteries.
Dispose of the batteries with proper regard for the
environment.

If no entry is made for a long time, then the hand con-
troller will automatically shut off.
You can also turn the hand controller off by pressing on
the buttons and . If you are not going to use the
F 0
hand controller for a long time, you should remove the
batteries from this device.
Please note that your radio remote control only has a
single direction for commands. You will therefore not
receive any feedback from the central unit.
For example, an emergency stop or an occupied loco-
motive address is not shown in the display.

Operation with the Analog Locomotive
Controller
The hand controllers can be used in analog locomotive
operation together with the 55050 RC Sender, the 55055
RC Receiver, and the analog locomotive controller.
You can control several analog locomotive controllers
with the hand controller, provided that each locomotive
controller is equipped with a 55055 RC Receiver.
The power circuit to be controlled (locomotive controller)
is selected by pressing buttons
