A wireless control system is the ideal accessory for
your LGB layout. Whether you use the digital Multi-
Train System or the 51070 analog throttle, you now can
move freely around and on your layout. There are no
bothersome cables are hanging over the tracks, there
is no fixed command post and no corner of the layout
you cannot see. This is the transmitter for your remotes
(Loco- and Universal-Remote).
To use this transmitter, you need the 55055/55056
Wireless Receiver to relay your commands to the MTS
Central Station or the 51070 throttle. You also need 4 AA
batteries.
With this Wireless Transmitter, you can trigger locomo-
tive functions 1 – 8 both parallel and in series.

Inserting

For wireless operation, you have to equip
your remote with a 55050/55051 Wireless
Transmitter.
• Press both textured clips at the top of
the remote inward and carefully pull
out the plastic insert.
• Slide the 55050/55051 Wireless Trans-
mitter into the remote. Do not damage
the antenna while doing this.
• To turn on the remote, press the "F"
button for some time. The LED near
the top of the remote illuminates to indicate that the
remote is ready for operations.
If the upper LED flashes, the batteries are exhausted.
Replace the batteries. Dispose of used batteries
properly. After a significant time without inputs, the
remote switches off automatically.
• After you have finished playing, you can turn off the
remote by simultaneously pressing the buttons "F"
and "0". If you don't plan to play for a significant pe-
riod of time, it is recommended to take the batteries
out of the battery compartment.

Connecting the 55055/55056 Wireless Receiver

You'll find this information in the instructions for the
55055/55056 Wireless Receiver.
What is "p" and "parallel"
On many LGB locomotives that are equipped with
onboard decoders, loco functions 1 – 8 can be triggered
directly (or "parallel").
On other LGB locomotives, function commands are
send "in series" as a combination of "1" commands.
For example, when you press button "3", command "1"
is sent three times. Obviously, data transmission will
require a certain time, as can be seen on the flashing
display of the remote.
Contrasting this, parallel function commands are sent
directly, for example "3" is sent as "3". So there is no
pause while data is transmitted.
