Important
We shall not be liable for physical damage or personal injury
that result from using the mountain bike. From an outside
perspective, skills of professional mountain bike riders often seem
easy to copy. In reality these skills are the result of many years of
training and constant practice.
For your own safety, always wear appropriate protection gear. We
furthermore recommend wearing a helmet whenever using your
bike.
Things always seem to happen when you least expect them.
Maintenance and service intervals
Only regular service inspections, maintenance and care as well
as immediate professional repairs or exchange of damaged parts
guarantees a longlasting and safe functioning of the bike.
If you don't have the required skills and tools to do the incidental
work yourself, you need to consult a bike shop.
In the following we have prepared some maintenance advice for
you:
First inspection after 5 to 15 hours of operation should include
the following:
Check the tightening torque of all crews and nuts, if
necessary tighten screws and nuts
Check concentricity and spoke tension of wheels, tighten
spokes if necessary
Check the preload of the head set bearing arragement
Torque tightening values
Screw connections are subject to settling properties, which inevitably results in decrease of clamping force. Therefore a regular check of all
screw connections is essential!
