Operating Elements, Front
MIC 1,2,3 (Level)
Output Level Controls of Mic Ch. 1,2,3
Automute (switch w/LED)
Gives MIC1..3 channels priority over
AUX channels. AUX output is automati-
cally lowered when Mic channel is in use.
Master1, Master2 (Stereo)
Master Output Level controls (separate).
Controls the output to external power
amps via output sockets Master 1 L/R
and Master 2 L/R. (balanced)
MP3, CD, AUX1, AUX2
selects any of the devices (CD player
etc.) connected via the RCA input so-
ckets. Level is controlled by AUX Level
control.
Model ZX3MS (comes with internal se-
lector to play the MP3-Player via MIC3-
channel. In this case, all input sockets of
channel MIC3 will be disabled.
Bass, Treble EQ (Mic / Aux)
Active tone controls. (+-12db) Position
Mid = neutral. Operate EQ controls care-
fully. Avoid extreme settings.
MP3 Player with IR Remote control
Plays MP3 files from a USB stick.
Play / Pause
Starts the MP3 Player or interrupts it
Key + : Jump to next track
Key - : Jump to previous Track
MP3 Player - Use for Alarm Signals
When a USB Stick contains one single
audio track only, the MP3 Player will
return to start once this track has been
played.
Pressing the Start Key (front of unit) - or
on IR remote control - or via footswitch)
will again play this track. This function
allows the use of the built-in MP3 Player
for start signals or alarm puposes.
If the USB stick is loaded with a number
of tracks, all will be played before the
player returns to stop in front of track 1
DSC Processor (Master1)
Increases overall audible dynamics.
Level Indicators Master1, Master2
Shows the overall Output Level
via Master1 and Master2 Controls
Operating Elements (Rear)
Mic Gain (Mic Channel 1..3)
adjusts Input Level of microphones and
other audio sources. Turn CW to increase
input sense. Turn CCW to lower input
sense.
Input Gain adjustment (MIC Ch. 1..3)
Use connected microphone at normal
speaking level. Turn Input Gain Control
slowly CW until SIG/CLIP LED (Front)
goes from green to orange. Turn Gain
control slightly CCW so that SIG/CLIP
LED will remain green.
Phantom power supply 48V
(Mic Chan1..3) Push switch w/LED. Sup-
plies condenser microphones with 48V
phantom power.
CD / Aux1 / Aux2
Source inputs (RCA/Cinch) to connect
external sources (CD, PC-soundcard
etc.). Via Aux Selector (Front)
MP3 F/S (MP3 Player Start, external)
Connects an external momentary switch
or any other trigger (potential free) to
start the internal MP3 player.
MP3 Player - Use for announcements
When playing a USB Stick with a single
track only, the MP3 player will immedia-
tely return to Start - waiting for the next
start command.
The same track will be repeated after the
next start command - (front panel, IR
remote control or external M/O switch)
This function may be used for repeated
announcements, start signals of similar
purposes. If the USB Stick contains a
number of tracks, these will all be played
before the MP3 Player returns to Start.
Gate (Mic Ch.1)
Mic-Input Channel1 come with an additi-
onal Gate to set the Threshold Level.
Adjusts the level with which a micro-
phone must be used in order to open the
‚gate' of this channel.
Display of GATE ON via Led (front).
Mains socket / Mains cable
Connection via euro-type mains cable.
Input: 230/240VAC.
