Descaling

CAUTION!
❐ The device needs to be descaled, if it is operated with tap water instead of distilled water.
❐ Remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning or descaling the device.
❐ After use, the device may still be very hot. Allow the device to cool down completely
before descaling it.
❐ Never fi ll descaling agents into the water tank. This may cause damage to the device.

1. You will fi nd a triangular metal plate on the ceramic iron plate
(steam outlet). Insert a screw driver into the provided notch
on the iron plate and lift out the metal plate. Be careful, wehn
lifting out the metal plate. Do not damage the ceramic iron
plate!
2. Loosen the three screws of the steam fi lter with an appropri-
ate screwdriver.
3. Take out the steam fi lter and clean it by hand or with an stan-
dard commercial descaling agent. If using a descaling agent,
follow the manufacturer's instructions for descaling.
4. Let the steam fi lter dry completely before inserting the steam
fi lter back into the iron plate.
5. Insert the steam fi lter in the ceramic iron plate and tighten the
screws with an appropriate screw driver.
NOTE: Before inserting the steam fi lter, make sure that the
O-ring sits correctly in the circular groove on the iron plate.
6. Place the metal plate back into the iron plate. First, align the
fl at side of the metal plate with the groove on the iron plate.
Then, press down the entire plate, Make sure, that the metal
plate clicks correctly into place.
