Before Initial Use

CAUTION!
❐ Keep children / animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of suffocation!
• Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied"
and "Device Overview" chapters) and transport damage. If you fi nd any damage to the
components, do not use them (!), but contact our customer service department.
• Remove paper bags, plastic bags, fi lms, cardboard and any labels that may be in or on the
device and are used for protection or advertising during transportation.
• It is essential that you read through the "Ironing Recommendations" chapter before you
fi rst use the device!

Filling/Emptying the Water Reservoir

CAUTION!
❐ Always pull out the plug before you top up/empty the water reservoir. Always pull the plug
and never the cable.
❐ Never pour any cleaning agent or other additives into the device. This could destroy the
device and safe working is no longer guaranteed.
❐ We recommend using destilled water for steam ironing. Certainly, you can also use normal
tap water for steam ironing. In this case, however, we recommend descaling the device
regularly, in order to guarantee a faultless function of the device (see chapter „Descaling").
❐ Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (note Max marking on the measuring cup that is also
supplied!). If possible, only fi ll the device with distilled water.
1. Make sure that the device is not connected to the mains power.
4. Close the water reservoir by folding the cover shut again. Make sure that the water reser-
voir is completely sealed shut.
5. To empty the water reservoir, open the cover of the water reservoir and turn the device
upside down. This will allow the remaining water to run out of the reservoir.

2. Open the water reservoir by opening up the cover of the wa-
ter reservoir. Please note that the cover cannot be completely
detached from the device.
3. Place the device horizontally on a plane surface and use the
measuring cup that is supplied to pour water at room tem-
perature into the water reservoir. Do not overfi ll the device.
Note the Max marking on the measuring cup. The device can
be operated using normal tap water, but we recommend that
you use distilled water.
