10.3 Access codes

- Security code (5 digits): The security code which was
supplied with your telephone protects your telephone
from unauthorised use. The code preinstalled in the fac-
tory is 12345. You can change this code through the
set-up menu. Memorise the new code and keep a written
copy in a safe place away from the telephone. Set the
telephone up to request the code before it can be used.
- PIN code (4 to 8 digits): The PIN code (PIN = Personal
Identification Number) protects your SIM card from
unauthorised use. The PIN code is supplied with the SIM
card.
- PIN2 code (4 to 8 digits): The PIN2 code is also supplied
with the SIM card and is needed for certain functions of
the telephone.
- PUK and PUK2 codes (8 digits): The PUK code (PUK =
Personal Unblocking Key) is needed to change a blocked
PIN code. The PUK2 code is needed to change a blocked
PIN2 code. Should these codes not have been supplied
with the SIM card, then you must request them from
your service supplier.
- Blocking code: The blocking code is needed to make use
of the "call blocking" function. You can obtain it from
your service supplier.
- Pocket code (4 to10 digits): You need the pocket code in
order to have access to the pocket services.
- Module PIN: You need the Module PIN to be able to
access information in the security module. The Module
PIN will be delivered with the SIM card provided that the
SIM card contains a security module.
- Signature PIN: The Signature PIN is needed for the digital
signature. The Signature PIN will be delivered with the
SIM card provided that the SIM card contains a security
module.
