VestaFunk R/M/J
Installation and Operating Instructions
VestaFunk R/M/J
1. Safety precautions
· Please note that the Vestamatic VestaFunk R/M/J requires
an operating voltage of 230 VW, 50 Hz. Contact a profes-
sional electrician to install the control system.
· VestaFunk R/M/J is approved for indoor use only.
· The VestaFunk R/M/J was designed for correct use as de-
scribed in the operating instructions. Any changes or modi-
fications thereof are not permissible and will result in loss
of all warranty claims.
· Immediately after unpacking the VestaFunk R/M/J, check
for possible damage. If the device or cables are damaged,
do not operate under any circumstances. If you notice any
shipping damage, notify your supplier immediately.
· If safe operation of the VestaFunk R/M/J cannot be guaran-
teed, the control must be turned off immediately and pro-
tected against unintentional operation. Do the same if any
alteration work is being carried out on the windows or shut-
ters to which the VestaFunk R/M/J is connected.
· Certain structural materials, e.g. metal surfaces or thick or
heavily reinforced ceilings and walls, can reduce the trans-
mitter's range. Likewise, other devices sharing the same
radio frequency (868.3 MHz) can interfere with the radio
system or be affected by it. For safety reasons, if there is
any doubt concerning a radio signal's origin, the relevant
VestaFunk system function will not be performed.
· To achieve optimum reception quality, the above points must
be observed and the use of two or more radio receivers or
transmitters in the immediate vicinity should be avoided.
We recommend that you maintain a minimum distance of
50 cm between each device.
· Device batteries should be correctly removed and disposed
of before disposing of the VestaFunk R/M/J transmitter.
2. Functional description
R/M operating mode provides wireless control of shutters and
awnings.
J operating mode controls sunshading devices such as blinds.
You can independently control your sunshades according to
your requirements using a VestaFunk transmitter (see section
"Overview of VestaFunk system components").
Programming and cancelling the VestaFunk R/M/J and chang-
ing operating mode can be performed using either the pro-
gramming stylus (supplied) or the round end of the 12 or 4 M/L
WISO hand-held VestaFunk transmitter.
3. Installing the control
Only an authorised electrician is permitted to install the
Vestamatic VestaFunk R/M/J.
1. Switch off the power supply.
2. Connect the VestaFunk R/M/J according to the wiring dia-
gram.
Warning: Currently valid VDE standards must be ob-
served when connecting the device, in par-
ticular DIN VDE 0100/0700 as well as the cur-
rently valid regulations of your local power
company and accident prevention regula-
tions.
Parallel control of more than one conventional drive
motor can only be implemented by means of isolating
relays and group control devices.
For the control of two drives, we recommend our isolating
relays:
Isolating relay TR N2S, article-no. 01054220
Isolating relay TR N2A, article-no. 01054120
3. Switch the power supply on. The VestaFunk R/M/J performs
a retract command. While this command is being performed,
check that the motor is moving in the right direction. If this
is not the case, swap over the brown and black wires in the
VestaFunk R/M/J motor connecting cable.
4. Then programme a VestaFunk transmitter by referring to
the section "Programming and cancelling a VestaFunk hand-
held transmitter".

Cancellation of this channel is now effective
7. Cancelling all VestaFunk
radio transmitters
To cancel all settings of the VestaFunk transmitter, proceed
as follows:
– Point the round end of the VestaFunk hand-held transmit-
ter (the example shows a 12 M/L VestaFunk hand-held
transmitter) (see Figure 1a) or the programming stylus
