5.1 Insert the batteries
Remove the screws on the safety switch and take off the shield-shaped front panel of the alarm
siren. Insert 4 D-cell batteries into the battery compartment, taking care that the polarity
(+ and –) is correct.
5.2 Setting the building code
• Set all the building code switches so that they are the same as the building code switches on
the alarm control unit.
• Consult section 8.3 "Building code" in the operating instructions for the alarm control
unit also.
5.3 Selecting the alarm duration
• Choose the duration of the alarm as desired. This is the length of time that the siren sounds
when the alarm is triggered.
• You may choose one of the 4 available options.
5.4 Connecting to the remote control (00111978) of the alarm control unit
• Set the ON/OFF sliding switch to ON. All the blue LEDs light up to indicate readiness with
the safety switch deactivated.
• Press the LEARN button to connect the remote control of the alarm control unit with the
alarm siren.
Warning
• Press the DISARM button on the remote control to establish the connection. The alarm siren
confirms the connection by a short beep and the LEDs lighting up briefly.
• If you have multiple remote controls for your alarm system, repeat these steps for each of
them.
• The alarm siren is now ready to be installed. Do not replace the shield-shaped front cover yet.
5.5 Installation
Note
Note – before you install / deactivate the safety switch
• Before installing or adjusting the siren, make sure to deactivate the safety switches.
Otherwise the alarm will be triggered.
• The siren absolutely must be connected to the remote control of the alarm control unit,
since otherwise the safety switches cannot be deactivated.
• Press both the ARM and DISARM buttons on the remote control simultaneously for two
seconds to deactivate the safety switches.
• When the safety switches are deactivated, all the blue status LEDs on the alarm siren
light up to indicate that the installation or adjustment work can now be performed.
Warning – Installation
• Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be

and construction types to those specified, purchase suitable mounting materials from a

• Drill holes at the desired installation location using the drilling template and insert rawlplugs.
• Depending on the construction of the installation location (e.g. wood), you may be able to
attach the product with screws directly without pre-drilled holes.
Note
• Make sure that the spring of the safety switch on the rear of the alarm siren is pushed all the
way in; you'll hear a distinct click when the safety switch snaps into place. Only then is the
alarm siren secured against external tampering.
6. Operation
Note
Press both the ARM and DISARM buttons on the remote control simultaneously for
two seconds to deactivate or activate the safety switches, and therefore the alarm siren,
whenever you need to adjust the siren settings or change the batteries.

6.1 Function test
You may now test the that the alarm siren, now connected to the alarm control unit, is functio-
ning properly. Make sure when testing that you can deactivate (DISARM) the alarm system at
any time. Otherwise you may disturb your neighbours with the loud noise. If necessary, expose
yourself to the high volumes only very briefly. Otherwise, hearing damage could occur.
To test the alarm, use the PANIC function on your remote control or the alarm control unit.
The triggered alarm can ONLY be deactivated by entering the PIN on the alarm control unit or
by pressing DISARM on the remote control.

6.2 Changing the building code
If you change the building code of the alarm control system, you must reset the building code
switches of all other devices connected to this alarm control unit to match.
• Set all the building code switches on the alarm siren so that they are once again the same as
the building code switches on the alarm control unit.
• Consult section 8.3 "Building code" in the operating instructions for the alarm control
unit also.
6.3 If the remote control is lost
If the remote control is lost (and it was the only one you had), spares are available for purchase
(00111978).
If there are other remote controls connected:
• Deactivate the safety switches (see section 6), open the shield-shaped front cover, and then
proceed as described in section 5.4 of these operating instructions.
If there are no other remote controls connected:
• Consult sections 8.2.1 and 8.2.3 of the operating instructions of the alarm control unit and
connect the new remote control to the control unit first.
Warning – High volumes
• Without the remote control, you will not be able to deactivate the safety switches on
the alarm siren. Since you must open the siren to reach the LEARN button, you will
unavoidably trigger the alarm.
• Before opening the alarm siren, procure effective hearing protection and put it on.
• Open the shield-shaped front cover of the alarm siren. The alarm will trigger.
• Press and hold the LEARN button for approx. 5 seconds until the alarm falls silent and the
blue status LEDs light up. The safety switches are now deactivated.
• Proceed as described in section 5.4 of these operating instructions.
7. Care and Maintenance
7.1 Testing/replacing the batteries
• Press both the ARM and DISARM buttons on the remote control simultaneously for two
seconds to deactivate the safety switches.
• Open the shield-shaped front cover and then proceed as described in section 5.1 of these
operating instructions.
7.2 Cleaning
Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning
agents. Make sure that water does not get into the product.

11. Recycling Information
Note on environmental protection:
After the implementation of the European Directive 2002/96/EU and 2006/66/EU
in the national legal system, the following applies: Electric and electronic devices
as well as batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are
obliged by law to return electrical and electronic devices as well as batteries at the
end of their service lives to the public collecting points set up for this purpose or
point of sale. Details to this are defined by the national law of the respective
country. This symbol on the product, the instruction manual or the package indicates that a
product is subject to these regulations. By recycling, reusing the materials or other forms of
utilising old devices/Batteries, you are making an important contribution to protecting our
environment.
