used in applications where personal safety
depends on proper function of the devices
(not designed in accordance with EU
Machinery Directive). Read these operating
instructions carefully before putting the
device into service.
Exempt Group according to IEC 62471.
DO NOT LOOK INTO THE LIGHT BEAM!
Danger of glare and irritation!
The sensor must be installed as to prevent
a direct line of eyesight to the llght source,
even during operation.
The CE Mark verifies that our products
meet the requirements of the current
EMC Directive.
In our EMC Laboratory, which is accredited by the DATech
for Testing of Electromagnetic Compatibility, proof has
been documented that these Balluff products meet the
EMC requirements of the harmonized standard
EN 60947-5-2.

Green LED power on/short circuit indicator
LED on: the sensor is operating.
LED flashes: short circuit on the output.
LED off: the sensor is not ready for operating
Yellow LED output signal/Error indicator
LED on: sufficient light at the receiver
LED flashes: insufficient light at the receiver
LED off: no light at the receiver
Potentiometer (only type RH12)
Used for setting the switch point of the background suppression.
