USE OF THE STICK ATTACHMENT
With this accessory you can mix food, for example vegetables to prepare soups but you can
also mix liquids. The puree stick is especially suitable to mash precooked potatoes. It only has to
be used in a vertical position with blades facing downwards.
Make sure the speed switch is in "0" position and the appliance is unplugged from the
•
power supply.
Do not forget to remove the other accessories from the appliance.
•
Slide the protection valve on the backside of the appliance to open it. Then you will see
•
the opening for the stick attachment.
Insert the stick attachment in the opening and screw the stick clockwise. Using gentle
•
hand pressure only ensures that the shaft is fully tightened onto the motor unit.
Put the ingredients into a suitable container (such as a mixing bowl or pan). Do not overfill
•
to prevent splashing.
Plug the unit into a suitable mains socket.
•
Hold the unit securely and press the on/off button. We recommend that the motor unit is
•
operated in short on/off pulses.
When mixing liquids ensure the blade is fully immersed before switching on the appliance
•
to prevent splashing.
Never remove the unit from the liquid until the blade has totally stopped spinning.
•
To disassemble the stick attachment, switch off the appliance, unscrew the stick
•
attachment anticlockwise and close the protection valve.
Caution: the blades of the stick attachment are very sharp, pay attention not to get cut
•
when cleaning them.
CLEANING
Always unplug the appliance from the power supply before cleaning it.
•
Remove the accessories before washing them in soapy water.
•
Wash the puree stick under running water immediately after use. If it is
•
very dirty, it can be washed in warm washing-up water.
Dry the accessories and puree stick thoroughly after washing.
•
The puree stick can be disassembled. To do so, unscrew the wing nut
•
and then remove the purée blade and the perforated attachment.
Wipe the outside of the appliance only with a slightly moistened cloth,
•
ensuring that no moisture enters the cooling slots.
Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will
•
damage the finish.
Do not immerse the motor block in water or any other liquid.
